Not sure what household hazardous waste is? It includes items like bleach, batteries, and certain cleaning products that contain corrosive, toxic, or reactive ingredients.

CMSD is looking for engaged community members to take a quick survey on hazards and emergency preparations. Your responses will help in the preparation of our Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Plan. All survey responses are entirely anonymous.

The Huntington Beach Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center will be closed for renovations starting Tuesday, August 20th. The last day to drop off hazardous waste at this location is Saturday, August 17th, from 9am-3pm.
The renovations are expected to be completed by late October. During this time, OCWR encourages residents to use their other drop-off locations in Anaheim, Irvine, and San Juan Capistrano.

When CMSD's three-cart collection system is implemented beginning fall 2024, &R will collect all extra Mixed Waste Carts — leaving just one and relabeling it to become the new Landfill Cart. After the program roll-out, customers can request additional carts by using GoCMSD.

🗣️ Have you shared your feedback? Recently, all CMSD customers received a mailer from CR&R asking if they want to modify their current cart sizes to what best fits their needs.
➡️ Mail back your order or fill out a cart order form online before June 30 to submit your requests.
CR&R will deliver your requested cart sizes between October and December of this year. If you don't need modified cart sizes, CR&R will deliver one 95-gallon Recycling Cart and remove one Mixed Waste Cart.
