This July we hosted our annual program at The Youth Center in Los Alamitos, Ca. The day started off with Michelle Tachick, Program Director, teaching the YES Employment Skills Program. After that, our students had a chance to prepare for their mock interviews that same day!

It was a fantastic event! Seeing all those outstanding young leaders learn about the workforce and prepare themselves for success was such a sight!

Thank you to The Youth Center for allowing us to be a fundamental part of your Leadership Academy again this year! A major thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who donated their time and expertise to support the youth of our community!

Today we are honoring another one of our wonderful volunteers, Jesus Merigotti!

Jesus Merigotti volunteered at Tustin High School as a Mock Interviewer. The mock interview experience is incredibly valuable for our youth clients, as it helps prepare them for future job interviews.

Today we are honoring one of our wonderful volunteers, Ashley Wilson!

Ashley most recently provided mentorship to six students at Northwood High School. During this experience, she was able to talk to students about networking, interview tips, the importance of LinkedIn, and why it’s okay to not have your career figured out by high school.

In 2022, 170 YES Volunteers contributed 986 hours, serving 813 youth in Orange County! YES clients learned lifelong employment skills and landed 314 jobs, benefitting their families and community.
