Today, we held a "Y'all Come Back" farewell party for Vicar Buok Chuol! Vicar, thank you for sharing your enthusiasm, compassion and guidance in God's Word during the last year. We hope you carry a little piece of Texas with you, especially now that you have your very own pair of cowboy boots! God's blessings as you return to your last year of pastoral training at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary!

This week we have four Calvary members attending the WELS National Conference on Worship, Music, and the Arts in Kenosha, Wisconsin! This conference is not only for pastors and musicians but also for lay people who love worship and want to encourage worship enrichment in their congregations. We are blessed to have such gifted musicians at Calvary!

Thanking God for Fathers!

Gracious Father,

We thank you for being the perfect Father to us. Your love, discipline and forgiveness have guided our lives and ensured our future with you. We have felt your warm embrace and watchful eye as we travel through this life. There is nothing like your amazing grace!

Your grace reached down from heaven and gave us our fathers too. We praise you for all Christian fathers, both those who have gone before and those who care for us now. Thank you for the faith you gave them, which they so faithfully passed down to us. Continue to strengthen fathers for the difficult tasks you put before them, but also give them joy in their fatherhood. Continue to raise up Christian men in your image to model faithfulness, raise Christian children, and honor you in all they do. Amen.
