Proverbs 18:16

A man's gift maketh room for him,
and bringeth him before great men.

Skill That Can Slay A Giant

When people hear the story of David and Goliath, sometimes they think, “That was all God.” And yes, in a sense, it was all God; but God didn’t sling the stone. David had a role to play, too. God gave David the skill that he had develop in order to be prepared for that defining moment. Like David, God has put in you skill that can slay a giant. You have skills that can open new doors, skills that can lead to an abundant life, but the key is that your skill has to be developed. Every day that you spend growing, learning and improving, you’re getting prepared for that new level.
Today, while you’re waiting for the new opportunity, start sharpening your skills. Study Gods Word. Study your Bible. Learn what God Word say. Be able to step into your Blessings. When God sees that you are prepared, He will open new doors. The Scripture says, “Your gifts will make room for you.” Keep developing your skills because there is a giant slayer in you.

Isaiah 40:31

But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.

Renewing Our Strength

God is with us when we feel Exhausted and Discouraged. Because God is Omnipotent, all Powerful, and doesn’t Change, God’s Strength will never Expire. We can Trust what the Scripture says here. Coming up against our own Limits won’t determine what happens to us because we can’t Depend on God to Supernaturally Recharge us. Hoping in God allows us to Walk and not Faint, and to Soar on Wings like Eagles.

Acts 4:31

And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

Uncontainable

In Act 4, after Peter and John prayed for a lame beggar by the temple gate, a great crowd gathered because of the miracle. Peter proclaimed to them that Jesus had risen from the dead. Thousands of people believed that day, but instead of being happy about it, the religious leaders opposed them and ordered them to stop preaching in Jesus’ name. But Peter and John knew: “We cannot be contained. God put this dream in our hearts, and as long as we stay in Faith, nothing can shut it down.” Their message was not restricted. It spread like wildfire, and we’re still talking about it today. In the same way, you cannot be contained by negative people and obstacles. God put seeds of increase inside you. Keep stretching your Faith, looking for new opportunities, new ideas, and new ways to expand God’s kingdom. You were made for more, to influence more, to accomplish more, to love more, to give more, and to have more. God will take you places you’ve never dreamed of. He will bring opportunities that give you amazing influence.

Ephesians 5:19-20

Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What Are You Making

We’re all making something. Some people are making sadness, thinking about what they’ve been through, what wasn’t fair, who they lost. That’s drawing in more sadness, more discouragement. Other people are making worry, playing all the negative thoughts over and over in their mind. “What if it doesn’t work out? What if I don’t get well?” That’s drawing in more stress, more heaviness. Why don’t you start making melody in your heart to the Lord. Start having a song of praise inside. Instead of saying, “These children are so much trouble,” start saying, “Lord, thank You for blessing me with children.” Instead of saying, “It’s a pain to go to work,” say, “Lord, thank You that I have a job.” Instead of saying, “The medical report is not good. I don’t think I’ll ever get well,” but say “Lord, thank You that You’re restoring health to me.” Are you creating an atmosphere of doubt, worry, and mediocrity. Or are you creating an atmosphere of praise, victory, and abundance?
All through the day, under your breath, be one who is making melody in your heart.

Romans 8:31

What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

You Were Born To Win

The Bible says that we are more than conquerors through Christ. It doesn’t say that we will be more than conquerors when we grow stronger, get older or achieve some super-spiritual level. Scripture says we are more than conquerors right now. Rise up and see yourself as a champion in Jesus. You can be and will be victorious through Jesus. The problems that so often intimidate and defeat many people won’t have a firm hold on you when you’re walking with Christ and have the Joy of the Lord! When you walk with Jesus, strength and victory are yours through Him. Here’s something to remember today: If Jesus is on your side, it doesn’t really matter who is against you. The opponents you face don’t really matter and don’t amount to much. Friend, take another look at your life today. You are a friend of God. No matter what you may face or who may seem against you, let this truth anchor deep within you—God is for you. Now go out in joy and make a difference for Him today, knowing Who is on your side.

God’s Life Changing Gift

When we recognize the priceless value of living God’s way, we can rejoice in God’s instruction as one rejoice in great riches. 1 King 19:7

And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

When You Run Out Of Strength

The prophet Elijah had just gone from one of the greatest victories of his life to running away in defeat at the death threat of Queen Jezebel. He was sitting under a tree so depressed that he didn’t want to live. He said, “God, I’m done.” He’d just seen a great miracle, but now he was tired of standing strong in Faith. Maybe you’ve been doing the right thing, praying and believing, but you’ve lost your drive. You may not have given up on life but given up on your dreams. Here’s the good news: God doesn’t condemn us or disqualify us or write us off when we get tired. God sent an angel to cook and feed Elijah once, and then a second time to strengthen him. That is what He’ll do for you. He’s going to cause blessings to chase you down. He’s coming a second time to push you into the fullness of your destiny.

Pray this Prayer:
Father, thank You for Your provisions all along my life journey. Thank You for Your promise of coming to me a second time to renew me with strength and breathe new life into my dreams. I believe that You are coming again to cause blessings to chase me down.

1 John 5:4

For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

Born To Overcome

The Scripture says that when you gave your life to Christ, you became a new creation. You were born into God’s family to overcome and live in victory. It doesn’t matter what your present circumstances look like. That addiction didn’t come to stay. Freedom is in your spiritual DNA. That sickness is not permanent. Health and wholeness are in your DNA. That family problem, strife, division; it’s not going to last forever. Restoration is in your DNA. Lack, struggle, and barely getting by are not your destiny. Abundance, increase, opportunity, and good breaks are in your DNA. Why? Because of who your Father is. Now when thoughts tell you that it’s never going to happen, just go back and check your spiritual birth certificate. Remind yourself of who you are. When the thought intruders, “You’ll never accomplish your dreams. You’ll never get well,” just keep declaring this truth,
“No, thanks. I’ve already checked my birth certificate. I know who I am. My Father’s name is God. It says so in the Word of God.”

Psalm 31:15

My times are in thy hand:
deliver me from the hand of mine enemies, and from them that persecute me.

Trust His Timing

One thing I’ve learned is that God doesn’t always work on our timetable. In fact, He rarely does. But in a single moment, God can change your life! All throughout Scripture, we see examples of how God was working behind the scenes and instantly turned things around for His people. Scripture tells us He is the same yesterday, today and forever, which means if He did it for them, He can instantly turn things around for you, too!
You may be going through some difficulty today, but be encouraged because your times are in God’s hands. Trust that He has your best interest at heart. He wants to pour out His favor. He wants to take you further than you dreamed possible and work in your life in ways beyond what you have ever imagined. And while you’re waiting, don’t try to figure everything out. That’s only going to frustrate you.Let this truth sink down into your heart today. Resist discouragement by speaking His Word over your future. Keep standing, keep hoping and keep believing because He is working behind the scenes. Have Faith because your times are in His hands, and He will lead you in the life of victory He has for you.

Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

Right Thoughts

I’ve learned that if you fill your mind with the right thoughts, there won’t be any room for the wrong thoughts. When you go around constantly thinking, “I’m strong. I’m healthy. I’m blessed. I have the favor of God,” then when the negative thoughts come knocking, there will be a “No Vacancy” sign. They won’t be able to get in. You need to take inventory of what is occupying the rooms of your life. If you give Fear a room, Faith gets left outside. There’s not room for both. If you give “I can’t” a room, “I can“ is left outside. If you give lack, barely get by, “I’ll never make it” a room, then increase, promotion, and abundance are left outside. Quit renting out space in your mind to your problems and self-pity. Tell those negative thoughts, “You’ve occupied my rooms long enough. I’ve got a new resident coming in. My new resident is Faith, Joy, Peace, Healing, and Victory.” Let what God says about you have a permanent home.

Job 15:31

Let him not trust in emptiness, deceiving himself,
for emptiness will be his payment.

The Source Of Your Worth

Too often we’re trying to get our worth out of what we do, how well we perform, how much money we have, how long we been in church. We wonder if others think we’re good enough, talented enough, strong enough, or successful enough. We think that if we work harder, outperform our coworkers, drive an expensive car, or act like a Christian, we’ll feel good about ourselves. We live in a proving mode, with a need to impress. The problem is that we’re getting our value from the wrong place. If you don’t know who you are, if you don’t know that you’re a child of the Most High God, you’ll spend your energy trying to get other people to validate you. But when you’re secure in who God made you to be, when you’re comfortable with your gifts, your looks, and your personality, then you don’t go around competing with others. You’re not living to impress someone who’s more attractive than you or jealous of a person who can Sing or Preach better than you, You know that you’re one of a kind, a masterpiece, made in the image of God.

Pray this Prayer today to Free you from that;
Father thank You that I can feel good about myself because I am Your child. Thank You that my value comes from who You made me to be, not from what I do or how I perform. I declare that I am secure because I belong to You, the Most High God. Amen

1 Corinthians 15:31

I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

Off The Throne

The apostle Paul wrote nearly half the books in the New Testament. His missionary journeys and pioneering work for the gospel were amazing. He’s one of the heroes of Faith. You would think that he was such a mature believer that he wouldn’t have to deal with issues of the flesh and say that with his mind he served the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin. Yet he said, “I die daily. Everyday I take my flesh off the throne and put down carnal desires.” As with Paul, we all have areas where we’re letting the flesh dictate. If we would start dying daily, start walking by the Spirit, being willing to be uncomfortable, keeping our mouth closed, waiting with a good attitude, then many of the things that frustrate us now can be opportunities to grow. Don’t respond the same way you’ve been responding to your spouse for the last twenty years, being impatient, frustrated, argumentative. When you die daily. God can trust you with more influence, more favor, more resources. Are you winning the war within?

Roman 12:6

Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith.

God Given Gifts

Scripture doesn’t offer us personality tests. But it does affirm each person’s uniqueness in God’s eyes, and it shows us how God equips All of us with a unique Personality and unique Gifts to serve Others.

Those Gifts are not for us alone but for the Purpose of serving God’s people. Gifts are Expression of God’s Grace and Goodness, working in and through All of us. Gifts invites each of us to be a Unique Vessel in God’s Service.

Genesis 42:8-9

And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew not him. And Joseph remembered the dreams which he dreamed of them, and said unto them, Ye are spies; to see the nakedness of the land ye are come.

The Palace is Coming

Many years after being sold into slavery by his brothers and held in an Egyptian prison, Joseph was put in charge over all the affairs of Egypt. When his brothers showed up at the palace looking to purchase food during the famine, you would think Joseph would be bitter and vindictive. But it says he remembered the dreams of promise God had shown him about them as a young man—not the betrayal, the hurts, the injustices. God had used all the difficulties to get him to where he was supposed to be. When God gives you a dream, when He puts a promise in your heart, it doesn’t mean it’s going to come to pass without opposition, delays, and adversities. There will be things you don’t understand. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to get discouraged. In the tough times you have to remember your dreams. God is in Control. He’s directing your steps. Stay in Faith and keep a good attitude. Let God fight your battles. The palace is coming. Father, thank You that my hope and trust are in You. Even when I don’t understand my circumstances, I know that You are working things out for my good and to fulfill my dreams. I lift my eyes to You and declare that You are directing my steps on the way to the palace.

Numbers 17:8

And it came to pass, that on the morrow Moses went into the tabernacle of witness; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and brought forth buds, and bloomed blossoms, and yielded almonds.

Blossoms Overnight

In Numbers 17, when the people were questioning Moses’ and Aaron’s authority as leaders, God instructed Moses to take the staffs from the leaders of each of the tribes of Israel and place them in the tabernacle where God’s presence was manifest. These staffs were old walking sticks, dead pieces of wood. The next morning the staff of Aaron had sprouted, blossomed, and even produced almonds. This dead wood that blossomed was proof of who God’s leaders were. God can change what looks dead overnight, whether it’s a marriage, a dream, or a financial situation. You may think it’s going to take years to get well, to restore a relationship, or break an addiction. God knows how to speed it up with one good break, one phone call, one idea. Suddenly, unexpectedly, God can change it overnight. Now don’t believe the lies that it’s never going to change. What you think is dead, God is saying, “I can still cause it to blossom.” You can still become who you were created to be.

Proverbs 27:17

Iron sharpeneth iron;
so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

Sharper or Duller

Your friends should be sharpening you, making you better. Is that true of your circle of friends? Whatever qualities your friends have—either good or bad—eventually will either dull you or sharpen you. If you hang out with people who gossip, who compromise, or who are stingy, that’s what you’ll become. But if you hang around excellent people, generous people, and motivated, successful people, those good qualities will sharpen your life. This is why it’s so important that you are selective with whom you spend your time.
Don’t worry about being in the right group, having the most friends, being the most popular. The quantity of friends is not important, it’s the quality of your friends that really matters. You need eagles in your life—people who inspire you to reach your dreams, people who motivate you to go further, people who make you better. The truth is that you cannot reach your highest potential on your own. You need the right people to help you get to where you’re supposed to be. God will put those people in your life if you listen to God and follow God’s directions.

Colossians 3:9-10

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.

Be Renewed

You won’t be successful as long as you have a negative image of yourself. Like a magnet, the image you have of yourself will keep pulling you toward it. If you see yourself struggling, barely getting by, having a scarcity mentality, that’s what you’re moving toward. What would happen if you started seeing yourself as blessed, prosperous, talented, having a bountiful year? Then because you have the right image, because you’re in agreement with God, you’d be moving toward abundance, overflow, good breaks, a bountiful life. You’d put your shoulders back and carry yourself as the royalty God created you to be. God’s Word says that when we face adversities, “the Lord delivers us out of them all.” It says that when the enemy comes in like a flood, God will raise up a barrier. If you see yourself as a victor and not a victim, then even in tough times you’ll stay confident, hopeful, expecting God’s favor, knowing that He didn’t bring you this far to leave you. He hasn’t failed you in the past, and He’s not going to start now.
