Good morning Church Family! We are starting to collect school supplies this Sunday the 21st -Wednesday the 31st for our giveaway on August 4th! The list of supplies is posted in the comments! Please bring supplies to the big children’s classroom off of the Family Center, look for the sign for drop off Sunday morning!

Just Between Friends- Dallas/Mesquite for a HUGE ”Blessings Bash” this Sunday, October 29th!!! Everything will be sorted by size and like items for easy shopping… and completely FREE!!! The pictures below are only half of the items that we will have available! We are still sorting!

Clothes, shoes, toys, games, books, equipment, baby items, home decor, costumes…. So much stuff!!!

Tell your agency’s, CASAs, foster/adopt friends… and anyone that may be in need!!! Spread the word!!!

If you would like some kid free shopping time… classes will be available for kids of all ages from 10-11am! All adult teachers and helpers are background checked! 👍🏼

We served 25 families today representing 77 children in a three hour time span!!! We would not be able to meet these needs without the donations from our community!!! If you want to be a part of assisting these families please reach out! We currently are in need of diapers(all sizes), wipes, car seats, and strollers! Thank you for all your support!!! ❤️

We have had several requests lately for double strollers If you have one that is taking up space in your garage that you would willing to pass on to a foster family let me know!!! Or if you would be willing to donate towards the purchase of a few, pm me! We’d love to tell all you all about the closet and how you would be making an impact!!! Thanks so much! ❤️

Mark you calendars for the upcoming JBF Sale in Mesquite!

We were able to provide resources for 48 children (18 families!!!) this morning in a 3 hour window due to the generous donations that we have received!

If you are looking for a way to support us, we are currently in need of five point car seats! We have none! If you have any that you would be willing to donate please let me know! (If used, please make sure that they are in date, have never been in an accident, and in excellent used condition!)

Hello everyone!

The closet opened at its new location at Saturn Rd church of Christ mid June 2022 and we have hit the ground running! Since opening, we have had over 200 families and 350+ children “shop” at the closet! The closet provides resources such as clothing, shoes, diapers, wipes, car seats, strollers, cribs, beds, toys, etc to foster/adoptive families free of charge! We can not provide the support needed for these families without the donations of these items. If your family, your business, professional organization, or even your school PTA would like to partner with us in providing resources, please reach out!

The Heart for The Fatherless Foster/Adoptive Resource Closet at Saturn Road closet was started many years ago by an amazing woman named Rebecca Lockwood Sheddrick. She saw a need and worked tirelessly to fill it for countless children and families! We honored to be able to continue her work and continue to provide resources for those that need it most! ❤️
