WE USED TO BE KINGS AND QUEENS: How did the black community break down? It started from birth, your daddy was absent and you grew up thinking "n*ggas ain't ish"
As he didnt tell you how beautiful you were you started wondering whether you were good enough only reinforcing similar feelings within yourself.
You began dating and had your heart broken several times, maybe got pregnant and that statement came back to haunt you "n*ggas ain't ish"
Even if this doesn't ring true for you, everywhere we turn we see the same message reinforced "n*ggas aint ish"
Which has resulted in black men and black women disrespecting each other. Plus we do not respect ourselves. Let that sink in for a minute.
Rather than celebrating anything that is good, genuine, beautiful, worthy that comes into our lives, we dont trust it, we put it down, criticize it, in the worst case abuse it because deep down we believe "n*ggas ain't ish".
We used to say success in love and life is about being confident.
I disagree, after going through depression, doubting myself picking myself back up, having a team who at one time nearly walked out, within the last year I have learned a thing or two about real success, not likes or popularity but success in relationships and in life.
It's about placing VALUE on yourself. That's the only way you'll be able to wait for someone who treats you properly rather than just being with anyone for now.
And you'll automatically place value upon others; instead of comparing and criticizing or not feeling good enough you'll value what they bring to the table and how they could enhance your own journey because deep down you'll know your qualities are completely different.
This message may offend some but for those who are tired of ending up in situations where they feel disrespected, singles who want love, and who want more for their life.
The first step is to cut yourself off from anything that reinforces that "n*ggas ain't ish"
It's real because you can't input one message into your mind 24/7 and expect another one to come out.
Let 2024 be your year of CHANGE.
The richer we have become materially, the poorer we become morally and spiritually.
We have learned to fly in the air like birds and swim in the sea like fish, but we have not learned the simple art of living together as brothers.
Ladies in 2024 take better care of yourself!. Appearance is a big part of self love & self care!. Set nail appointments (Hand & Toes) every two weeks, (fill ins, styles & color change often)! Buy you some leggings and cute tops for your in & out store & errand runs!. Baby you only get ONE first impression!. Prioritize & put up at LEAST $50 from each paycheck!. SAVE SAVE SAVE!. Stop hugging the bed, plan dinner dates even if you have to go alone!. Free your mind!. Stop stressing, & stop worrying!. Start praying every morning, noon, & night 🙏🏽🙌🏽!. Manifest that new House, new Car, And new Mind!. It’s ALREADY yours! 🙌🏽💪🏽👑✨❤️🎂🤞🏽
PEOPLE DON'T UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF HAVING A WOMAN THAT GENUINELY LIKES U IN LIFE. NOT THE RoD NOR THE MONEY BUT YOU. WHEN SHE REALLY LIKE YOU SHE'LL OVERLOOK A LOT OF STUFF AND DO A LOT OF STUFF FOR YOU. NOT BECAUSE SHE WANT SOMETHING BUT JUST BECAUSE SHE WANT TOO. DON'T MESS IT UP CAUSE ONCE SHE LOSES THAT STRONG LIKE FOR YOU AS A MAN U CANNOT GET THAT BACK. YOU WONT GET THAT FROM TOO MANY WOMEN THESE DAYS🤞🏾💯
Being alone when you need support will really make you look at everybody different
I dont wanna double back on NOTHING in 2024, not a friend, not a n***a, not family, not a enemy, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING❗️ If the bridge burned, it was supposed too. I ain’t trying to repeat no lessons I’ve already learned. Where we at is where we will stay. FORGIVE, FORGET & STAY AWAY FROM ME. 😘
Good night loves💙

June 15, 1920: The Duluth lynchings occurred in Duluth, Minnesota.
3 Black circus workers (Isaac McGhie, Elmer Jackson and Elias Clayton) were attacked and lynched by a mob in Duluth, Minnesota.
⚠Rumors circulated that 6 Black men r***d and robbed 19-year-old Irene Tuskan. A physician's examination subsequently found no evidence of r**e or assault.⚠
The lynchings shocked the country, particularly for their occurrence in the North, although 4 earlier lynchings had occurred in Minnesota.
THE LYNCHINGS:
Newspapers printed articles on the alleged r**e, while rumors spread throughout the town that Tusken had died as a result of the assault. Through the course of the day, a mob estimated between 1,000-10,000 people formed outside the Duluth city jail and broke into the jail to beat and hang the accused.
The Duluth Police, ordered not to use their guns, offered little or no resistance to the mob. They fought with their hands and fire hoses instead. The mob seized Elias Clayton, Elmer Jackson and Isaac McGhie and found them guilty of Tusken's r**e in a sham trial. The three men were taken to 1st Street and 2nd Avenue East, where they were beaten and hung by the mob.
The next day the Minnesota National Guard arrived at Duluth to secure the area and to guard the surviving prisoners, as well as 9 other men who were suspected. They were moved to the St. Louis County Jail under heavy guard.
AFTERMATH:
Many people took photos of the lynchings and made them into postcards.
In its comprehensive website about the lynchings, the Minnesota State Historical Society reports the legal aftermath of the incident:
"Two days later on June 17, 1920, Judge William Cant and the grand jury had a difficult time convicting the lead mob members. The grand jury issued 37 indictments for the lynching mob and 25 were given out for rioting and 12 for the crime of murder in the 1st degree. Some of the people were indicted for both.
But only 3 people would end up being convicted for rioting. 7 men were indicted for r**e.
For 5 of the indicted men, charges were dismissed. The remaining two, Max Mason and William Miller, were tried for r**e. William Miller was acquitted, while Max Mason was convicted and sentenced to serve 7-30 years in prison."
Mason served a prison sentence in Stillwater State Prison of only 4 years, on the condition that he would leave the state.
No one was ever convicted for the murder of Isaac McGhie, Elmer Jackson and Elias Clayton.
MEMORIAL:
On October 10, 2003, the event was commemorated in Duluth, by dedicating a plaza including 3
7-foot-tall bronze statues to the three men who were killed. The statues are part of a memorial across the street from the site of the lynchings.
IN POP CULTURE:
The first verse of Bob Dylan's 1965 song "Desolation Row" recalls the lynchings in Duluth. Dylan was born in Duluth, and grew up in Hibbing, which is 60 miles northwest of Duluth.
