Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day from the Dallas Institute. We honor the late Dr. King and remember all of the good works he gave his life for. Continued in a legacy that reaches far beyond his family, we are thankful to be able to foster and grow his vision.

This years MLK Symposium focused on the “Soul Force” in all of us, and how we can choose to be difference makers in all that we do. We are thankful to all who contributed to make not only this event successful, but for all who have fought to continue the work Dr. King started.

We are excited to invite esteemed journalist Lee Cullum to The Institute for our second in the SEA-CHANGE lecture series. This month, Cullum will lead us to ponder the topic of geo-engineering.

Lee Cullum is host of “CEO,” KERA’s original monthly series of interviews with North Texas business leaders. She is also a commentator for Morning Edition on KERA-FM and contrives column to the Dallas morning news. A veteran journalist, Lee was previously a commentator for The Newshour with Jim Lehrer and NPR’s All things Considered. She has also worked as a reporter, on air moderator, and executive producer of newsroom on KERA.

Reception will begin at 6:00 P.M., followed by lecture and discussion at 6:30.
