Today's Wax Hands Novelty event gave students a chance to get creative and make a one-of-a-kind keepsake! Participants dipped their hand into colorful wax to create a custom wax mold that was uniquely theirs. Hands signs included a high-five, peace sign, and more. This event was a fun and interactive way to take home a memorable piece of art.

In one of the largest naturalization ceremonies in North Texas in recent years, 201 immigrants representing 49 countries became citizens at the campus this week. The keynote speaker, Dr. Antonia Novella, was the first woman and Hispanic U.S. Surgeon General, serving from 1991-1993. She and other speakers, such as UNT Dallas President Warren von Eschenbach, spoke about the significance of the milestone and the responsibilities of citizenship.
