The Dallas Hearing Foundation (DHF) is a not-for-profit foundation exclusively dedicated to giving the gifts of hearing and speech to children and adults with hearing loss.

In honor of the Olympics, let’s congratulate the DHF Teen Squad member, Andrew Brian Suarez, who is on the USA National Deaf Wrestling Team and has qualified to represent United States of America at the 2025 Tokyo Deaflympics for both Men’s Freestyle and Roman Greco Wrestling in the heavy weight division. Congratulations Andrew!!!!!
We LOVED getting to see Sturgill at Statewide! Mom Ashley brought Sturgill by to say hello to DHF. Sturgill received cochlear implants through DHF and is doing amazing! Loved seeing our Plano ISD Deaf Educators!

Wow! Such great hospitality today from La Moderna. Our friendship all started with sign language pasta! The DHF Teen Squad got to tour the plant in Cleburne today where they make the pasta. We were also treated to a game of the Cleburne Railroaders! What a great company that creates a great family environment. We are all about community! Five years ago sweet Camilla was getting her implant. Mom has done an amazing job and Camilla is now thriving with her language!

My name is Erin Mangwiro, I have bilateral cochlear implants, and I am the Program Director for Young Adults at AG Bell.
I am thrilled to extend a warm invitation to you from the Young Leaders Board (YLB) of AG Bell! Our mission is to expand the visibility of AG Bell and provide invaluable resources for young adults who are deaf or hard of hearing. Through networking events, skill development opportunities, and leadership roles, we aim to broaden your professional and social circles.
The YLB is comprised of passionate deaf and hard of hearing individuals who primarily use Listening and Spoken Language. We are dedicated to:
• Engaging young adults by establishing a global network.
• Empowering young adults to actively participate in meaningful causes.

Both organizations support those who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH) with various programs including resources, events, teen programs, and funding (if eligible).

~Resources - provides financial assistance for communication resources such as hearing aids, sign language lessons, speech therapy, assistive communication devices, etc.
~Education - financially assists deaf educators with classroom accommodations, supplies and equipment, outreach inclusion, and training and conference fees.
~Ministry - provides funding of deaf youth camper fees, accessibility resources and bi-lingual counselors to faith-based camps. Provides for practical needs for families who are needing additional resources.
~Deaf Awareness - educate the community and promote inclusion and acceptance through full accommodations and accessibility through ATS community nights, community plays and events, and 5K's"

Imagine not hearing your own voice, or anything for that matter, for TWO YEARS. Today that changed for Tom. Amazing to see Tom’s activation where he was able to hear a conversation and not use texting to communicate. We are so excited to follow Tom’s hearing journey.
Jeanne received her hearing aids and is doing great! DHF loves to collaborate with other nonprofits, and Aid The Silent helped make Jeanne’s hearing journey become a reality. Thank you so much for helping! It takes a village. Proud to be part of that village with you.

It’s a great day for a cochlear implant! Tom lost his hearing after being diagnosed with leukemia, and has been without sound for two years. We can’t wait to follow his hearing journey.
