We're excited to announce our renewed partnership with Smile House Fondazione ETS.

This collaboration, initiated by Dr. Domenico Scopelliti and WorldCF’s late founder Dr. Kenneth E. Salyer Salyer, reignited with a renewed commitment, aims to continue making a profound impact on countless lives.

Under the leadership of Ken Salyer Jr., Board Chair of WorldCF, we're embarking on a new international initiative to boost support for specialized care, training, and research in craniofacial malformations.

Together with Smile House, we stand united to provide life-saving treatments and renew hope for thousands of children worldwide.

Little Caleb, diagnosed with sagittal synostosis, a condition where the cranial suture closes prematurely, causing the baby's head to grow long and narrow, faced a challenging situation in Honduras where the necessary procedure wasn't available in public hospitals. Seeking specialized care, he was referred to WPP's neurology clinic led by Dr. Tye, and within a month, he found hope through a collaboration with the World Craniofacial Foundation (WCF). He traveled to Bogota, Colombia to receive treatment at San Jose University Hospital where Caleb underwent successful craniofacial surgery, thanks to the expertise of surgeons Dr. Prada and Dr. Steinberg from WCF. Now, Caleb has returned to the Ronald McDonald House in Bogota, where he will be recovering for a little longer.

This message is from Natalia Rosales who is the U.S. Referrals and C.A. Program Director of the World Pediatric Project.

We are in the final stages of planning for Anderson, from Honduras; and Juana and Sofia, from Guatemala, to travel to Hospital Universitario Infantil San Jose and receive life-changing craniofacial treatment. Dr. Steinberg graciously took the time to meet virtually with the three caregivers to answer any last-minute questions before these three kids and their caregivers arrive in Bogota, Colombia. These treatments are made possible through a partnership between World Craniofacial Foundation and World Pediatric Project, who have joined efforts and resources to make this possible. A team led by Dr. Prada and Dr. Steinberg, both surgeons from the World Craniofacial Foundation, will perform surgeries on these children that are not available in their home countries. We are so very grateful to the World Craniofacial Foundation and look forward to helping many more children through this collaboration. -Natalia Rosales
