Clouds hang in for most of the afternoon, but some clearing is expected late in the day.

Good morning! We have patchy areas of fog, mainly northeast of the Metroplex. A Dense Fog Advisory is in effect until 10 a.m.

The first half of December is looking mild and dry! We do have some opportunity for rain, but it holds off until next weekend.

It'll be a cool night with areas of patchy fog.
If you have early plans on Saturday, be sure to allow plenty of time to get to your destination.

December trends-
Warmer than normal temps. Moisture is trending near normal to just above normal with precipitation amounts.
As of now, there are no freezes on the 14 day with slim rain chances.

The last month of the year sees a drop of 5 degrees in the normal daytime highs from the beginning to the end of the month. Normal precipitation is under 3 inches.

After morning fog on Saturday, it'll be warmer and drier the rest of the weekend! A southwest wind will help drive temps to near 70 Saturday afternoon and upper 60s Sunday.

It'll be a cool and dry evening! Some fog will develop after midnight into Saturday morning. Temps will drop to the mid-40s by the morning.

Not a bad looking extended forecast. Rain chances return during the second week of the month followed by some chilly temps.

Temps stay on the cool side today, but warm nicely over the weekend.

The latest drought monitor keeps showing improvement! More of North Texas is drought-free. There are still parts of Central Texas and far West Texas that need much more rain.

December starts tomorrow! The weather will be mild and mostly dry for the first half of the month.

Thursday's rainfall totals -
Many spots picked up just a trace of rainfall today. Other spots across Ellis, Dallas, and Rockwall counties picked up over half of an inch! Greenville reported over an inch!

It'll be a cooler night as rain moves out and a cold front comes in! Morning lows will be in the 40s over the next few mornings. Friday will be near 60 with warmer weather for the weekend.

The high today was right where it should be for late November. DFW picked up less than .10" of rainfall, but some spots in Dallas recorded over a quarter of an inch.

6:30pm- Check out the FOG! Visibility is lowered due to fog that has developed after the rain, but before the front arrives. Be careful out there if you have to be on the roads.
