Congratulations to our 2022 Sankofa Foundation Scholarship Recipients: Mr. Xavier Brewington (Plano East High School / Howard University), Mr. Kohl E. Crawford (Rowlett High School / Texas Southern University) and Mr. Everett Early (Hillcrest High School / Prairie View A&M University). Each young man took home $3000 to use towards their education. We wish them the best as they transition from high school to college.

Coming to the Alpha Legacy Celebration Scholarship Dinner & Gala? As a reminder, the event is held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Frisco Hotel & Convention Center located at 7600 John Q Hammons Dr, Frisco, TX 75034. We will be in the convention center Northwest ballrooms.

Parking: Parking is included with event attendance. Please feel free to park in the hotel/convention center parking garage. Bring in your parking ticket and we'll provide validation at check-in. If you have any issues exiting the garage, just hit the call button and let them know you were attending the Alpha Legacy event. Thanks!

The Sankofa Foundation and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. - Xi Tau Lambda Chapter is honored to announce Dynette Davis as a recipient of the 2022 Alpha Legacy Distinguished Service Award.

As an education advocate and CEO of Dimensions Education, Ms. Davis has been recognized for her work with families and students to help them navigate the education system. She has developed successful programs for students from their developmental years through college. In 2020, Ms. Davis was elected by the community to serve the families and students of the Frisco Independent School District on the Board of Trustees.

Pastor Joshua has served as Senior Pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church (Plano, TX) since 1994. As a community advocate, he has worked to serve those in need both within and outside of the Shiloh community. He has been instrumental in leading the efforts for such events as food & clothing drives, hurricane relief, community discussion forums, and education. Pastor Joshua previously served as a principal for McKinney ISD and helped to open five elementary schools in the district.
