When Taylor walked into re:generation, she was in bo***ge to pride, control, approval of others, po*******hy and ma********on. Roughly 365 days later (not as scary as it sounds!), Taylor walked out of re:generation with the chains of her sin BROKEN. She is a new creation (2 Corinthians 5:17) and free from the shame of her past. Not because of re:generation or the 12 steps, but because of JESUS.

The reality is that many of us have hurts from our parental relationships, but the reality ALSO is that God wants to adopt you as his son or daughter. No matter your brokenness, God wants a relationship with you and can take you from sinner to son.
 
1 John 3:1 - "See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!"

EROS LOVE: Erotic Love
 
God created sexual intimacy for pleasure, procreation and connection between husband and wife. The world has distorted Eros Love to something that's sinful, impure and selfish.
 
But, through Christ, this love that's been tainted can be redeemed through confession, recovery and sanctification.

PHILEO LOVE: Affection, fondness and liking of another person that results in deep friendships

You might believe that God loves us, but do you believe that He likes you? God delights in you, is fond of you and wants to give you this type of phileo love. And all you have to do is accept it.

When you accept this type of love from God, you’re also able to offer it to others.

This week, we shared that healing isn’t just a one-time event, it’s a way of life that comes by daily surrender to Jesus by the Spirit. We must walk by the spirit (Galatians 5:16) to not gratify the desires of the flesh.

Bringing your sin into the light isn’t easy, but it’s 100% worth it. 1 John 1:7-8 says “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

The sick woman in Mark 5 didn’t bring offerings or suggestions. She didn’t bribe or manipulate. All she did was bring her faith and Jesus healed her. We're offered that same gift, we just have to trust that He can do it. re:gen - He can change anything! What are you waiting for?

It might sound like a trick question, but ask yourself, do you really want to be healed? Are you done with the things of this world that continually fail you? We had an extended night of worship this week to celebrate the birth of our Savior. A Savior who entered into the world as a baby, who would come to seek and save the lost. A Savior who would make dead things new and blind men see. And His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). Jesus.

Thank you, God, for the gift that is your Son. May we never take it for granted.
