African American Museum of Dallas Theater Troupe
Hours: Tuesday – Friday: 11:00 am – 5:00pm Saturday: 10:00 am – 5:00pm Closed Sundays, Mondays The Museum has operated independently since 1979.
The African American Museum was founded in 1974 as a part of the Special Collections at Bishop College, a Historically Black College that closed in 1988. To be a museum of history, which seeks to cultivate, preserve and tell the story of growth, development and contribution of the African-American community to American life.
