Meet Sausage (M), Biscuit (F), Toasty (M), Eggs Benedict (M) and Hashbrown (M). This litter of five were living outside with their mom in a mobile home park in Dallas. They would play around the home during the day, and crawl under the mobile home when it was time for them to sleep.

After their Good Samaritan talked with the owners, she found out that they wanted to keep the mom, but did not want the puppies. We agreed to spay the mom and provide medical outreach for her, but were at a loss on how we were going to find fosters for five puppies when we have been struggling to find fosters for one dog. After three foster pleas, we were able to secure approved fosters!

With approved fosters, our Capture Team went to the location and started capturing the puppies. Two of them had already been caught when they got there, Toasty and Hashbrown, so they made quick work attempting to get the other three. The third one, Sausage, was quick work as he tried to hide behind a shovel, but the other two were proving to be more difficult as they were under the mobile home.

Using the mom and other two puppies in a puppy pen, the fourth one, Eggs Benedict, made his way out. The fifth and final one, a little girl we named Biscuit, took much longer. They attempted to get her multiple times, but she was too quick. Worried that they were stressing her out too much, the team decided to leave her with the mom and come back after taking the puppies that had been caught to the fosters.

During transport, Sausage was worrying the volunteers and they made the decision to run them to the vet. Their vitals were good, but may have been slightly anemic due to the amount of fleas on them. While two of the volunteers were at the vet, another went back to attempt to get Biscuit and in a surprising turn of events, she was caught! The volunteer just had to put some food down for the momma and Biscuit came trailing along. After scooping her up in mere minutes, the volunteer brought her to the vet as well.

All puppies have been given baths and are doing so well in their foster homes. These babies are a little scared, but so full of love. Thank you to our fosters and everyone that shared their pleas. We are so incredibly thankful.

Duck Team 6 Street Dog Rescue is excited to announce this annual outreach program for the upcoming holidays -- Duck Team 6 Adopt-A-Fur Family!

We are actively seeking DONORS who would like to shed some holiday cheer to nominated Fur Families by adopting a family and providing gifts for their precious fur babies! These selected families do their best to provide their pets with loving homes and all their needs, however, the holiday season can spread already limited resources thinner, so we enjoy taking a little stress off their holiday plates. Their wish lists usually include items such as dog/cat food, treats, pet beds, flea/tick prevention, collars/leashes, and even pet shampoo. Some much needed funding requests for grooming and necessary medical needs, such as allergy medications and vaccinations, can also make the wish lists.

You can even shop right from the comforts of your home, so you do not even need to live in the Dallas, TX area! We will give you the wish list, and you can ship your gifts to a DT6 volunteer's home. Or you can donate monies towards fulfilling a fur family's wish list, and a DT6 volunteers will take it from there and shop for you.

Honestly, we are getting desperate. We have cases upon cases rolling in and we cannot do anything unless we have fosters willing to take in dogs. All rescues are full and need fosters but we are expected to take every dog that someone reaches out to us about.

In order for us to help these puppies and other dogs, we need long-term committed fosters.

Please, help us help these poor babies living under this deteriorating mobile home. Two are safe and we have been able to secure a long-term foster for two of them, but the other three need help. They are located in the DFW area.

Three puppies are still living under a deteriorating mobil home and the other two have been captured. They are in a temporary foster home. These puppies are old enough to be weaned, separated and are the cutest snuggle buddies!

If you remember Maya’s story, you may already know that she was located in a not-so-great area in Dallas. She lived on the streets, having litter after litter and we were contacted by a Good Samaritan (turned volunteer) asking for help.

Well now we have another momma dog that is in the same neighborhood that has had five puppies, 4 males and 1 female. The owner wants to keep the mom (we are working with them to get her spayed) but we need a place for her puppies to go! They are super sweet after only being handled for a couple of days and now want all of the puppy kisses and love!

Gentle reminder that there is only so much a rescue can do when an owner wants to keep their dog. We offered to rehome and medical outreach. They do not want to rehome her and have agreed to get her spayed. Now the puppies are our focus.

It's a Run Build Recap!

Sweet sisters Bailey and Lila kept jumping their short fence and getting caught on the playground across the street. Dallas Animal Services, Dallas Pets Alive, Operation Kindness, and Duck Team 6 joined forces, to give these darlings a safe and secure place to stay and play in their own yards.

Jack is an absolute DOLL and he has had zero interest. Our volunteers went out to observe the area and set up a camera to monitor his comings and goings. To say they are obsessed with him is an understatement. He followed them around the neighborhood and came when called.

Meet Jack! This sweet boy has been spotted wandering a neighborhood in Wylie, and he’s in need of immediate help.

Jack is unaltered and suffering from a skin condition with inflamed patches and sores. Despite his rough condition, he’s incredibly friendly. Volunteers were able to pet him, and he happily followed them around, responding when called.

Meet Bones! We have been contacted about this adorable, sweet boy who is roaming a neighborhood in Dallas.

We don’t know much about his past, just that he landed himself in the perfect area where he is being taken care of by his Good Samaritan.

What we do know is that he is scared of people, but has not shown aggression. This sweet boy tries to play with the neighbor’s dogs (she doesn’t allow it though because she says her dogs are rude) and that he loves the toys his Good Samaritan has been giving him.

So to recap:

I mean, what is there not to love about Bones?! Just look at his precious face!

⭐️LOOK WHO GOT CAUGHT⭐️

We received a request for a small chihuahua that would run across Highland Road in Dallas, going back and forth between an apartment complex and gated community.

With a foster and rescue already established, we set up a game camera to track her comings and goings. While she was never at the trap at a consistent time, we knew she would show up between 11:15 PM to 4 AM the next morning.

Our capture volunteers prepared for an overnight stakeout, unlocked the trap, used (a little too much) liquid smoke, and waited.

She surprised the volunteers by showing up shortly after midnight and within minutes, she was captured. After staying the night at a capture volunteer’s home and a bath, she made her way to her foster home. She has been taken in by our friends at Cody’s Friends Rescue.

We named her Chicken Nugget because she was just so little and adorable, we wanted to eat her up. She does well with other dogs and once she settles in, her attitude is a lot less spicy.

We have reported her as “Found” through Dallas Animal Services in case someone is looking for this girl.

We received a request about this very scared girl running all around a neighborhood in the DFW metroplex not wearing a collar, but a dress. 💔

Spook is very scared of people and will not let anyone get close to her. This sweet girl was even scared of a cat that she happened to run into. Spook has been seen in the area since Sunday and does not show any aggression.

Can you help us save this dog and hopefully find who she belongs to? If no owner is found or steps forward, she needs a long-term foster and rescue.

We received a request from a Good Samaritan about a (possible) chocolate lab that has been roaming her neighborhood for the last month.

This sweet girl is being fed daily and accepts pets from anyone willing to show her some love. She appears to be spayed and looks to have a spay tattoo.

⭐️We already have a foster offer, however, in order to get her off of the streets, we must have a rescue backing.⭐️

⭐️It’s Miley’s first day of school!⭐️

For those of you who do not remember her introduction last month, here is a recap!

Miley came to Duck Team 6 about five months ago, thanks to a kind-hearted person who saved her mom, unaware she was pregnant. After months of searching for a rescue, Miley and her eight siblings found their way to us, just when one of our volunteers had recently lost her own brindle pittie mix. It felt like destiny.

Miley is the sweetest girl, but she arrived terrified. She spent almost a week and a half in her kennel without making a sound. Today, Miley’s personality shines through. She’s discovered the joy of dog toys, is very food-motivated, and makes the cutest grunts and groans when she’s sleeping. Miley is scared of leashes, walks, loud noises, and strangers. She sometimes shows protective behavior and panics when the leash is on.

Thanks to our generous donors for North Texas Giving Day, she’s able to start school today! We are so grateful to you all and cannot wait to see her confidence shine!

It is heartbreaking to see that our last two posts had such little interaction when we are contacted via messenger, email and tagged in posts daily about dogs needing help. Without fosters and a rescue backing, we simply can’t do anything.

We currently are working multiple cases, but we have two dogs that need a place to go.

🐕 Norman is a beautiful husky/shepherd looking mix that waits patiently for his Good Samaritan to feed him. He is shy and scared of people, but has not shown aggression.

🐕 Spectre looks to be young enough to be a puppy! He seems to be a shepherd mix of some sort, but he is absolutely terrified, so it’s difficult to get a good picture of him. He has not shown aggression.

We will make a donation to the rescue that can take either dog.

Meet Norman! We received a request for this unaltered, large male running loose in a neighborhood north of DFW. He has an injury to his front leg that he doesn't like to run on, but he will walk on sometimes.

Norman seems to be a gentle guy who will patiently wait for his food to be put out from a safe distance. He has taken up shelter in a carport that he does not like to stray too far from.

He has been hanging out in the area for a few weeks. He is very skittish but shows no aggression.

We would love to help this sweet guy find his possible owner or forever home, but before we can do that, we need a place for him to go. We will include a donation to the rescue able to take him in.

We are swamped with requests right now and we cannot do anything for these dogs until fosters and rescues are found!
