Our back-to-school celebration was so much fun! Families picked out a backpack full of supplies for each child, enjoyed snacks, snapped a Polaroid photo together, and made a keepsake frame to take home.

We couldn't be happier seeing our North Texas neighbors go into the school year with everything they need to be successful in this new chapter!

Special shoutout to Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County for once again including our Collin County families in the back-to-school festivities and other resources available at their community center, where our second office also resides. We could not do this without you!

Congratulations to Michelle Lyles on hitting a major milestone anniversary – 10 YEARS at Family Compass! Wow! Michelle is a Case Manager on our Parent Aide home mentoring team.

She says: “My favorite thing about working at Family Compass is working with the families. I love that Parent Aide is strength based and client centered. I am grateful every time a parent chooses to partner with me to strengthen their family and reduce risk factors. I am thankful for the skills I have learned through the Nurturing Parenting curriculum which gives me confidence to lead my clients in parenting lessons. I love being able to live out my goal of helping children and families!”

Back-to-school season is off to a great start! 📚

We have received a surge of resources in the last week and want to extend a special thank you to Genesis Women's Shelter & Support and all of you out there who answered the call! Our families will have everything they need to go into the new school year stress-free. 🙌

A big shoutout to our volunteers from Epic Medical Research and Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits who organized supplies ahead of backpack stuffing shifts this week! If you'd still like to help, spots are open for the big celebration this Saturday, August 3rd. Hundreds of children will get to pick out their backpacks and enjoy snack and craft time with their families!
