Prayer Alert: Severe flooding has caused widespread damage in southeast Bangladesh and in the neighboring state of Tripura in India, and Texans on Mission is responding.

52 deaths have been reported, 51 of 68 churches have been affected, and more than 2 million children are at risk as floods sweep through homes, schools and villages in eastern Bangladesh.

Thanks to our wonderful donors, TXM has provided funding for churches in the region and an ongoing disaster relief training for Baptist Aid, a Division of Bangladesh Baptist Church Fellowship.

As Baptist Aid works to respond effectively, please keep their organization, Bangladesh and Tripura in your prayers.

Texans on Mission donated 21,160 bottles of water to Grand Prairie after thousands of its residents were directed not to come in contact with tap water.

The city gave away water at Lone Star Park today after issuing the “do not use water” advisory, causing cars to line up down the street for a case. City officials have worked to provide relief since seven this morning and will continue to do so until there are no cars left.

We’re grateful we were also able to help provide some relief for our neighbors. Please pray for Grand Prairie and for those impacted by the situation.

Texans on Mission donated 1,680 cases of water to Quemado, Texas, after a drought led to failing water wells in the West Texas town.

We connected with Cornerstone Children’s Ranch, a local ministry dedicated to fostering growth and an understanding of God to children in need, to pass out the cases of water. We’re grateful for their help as they also had the opportunity to minister to those impacted.

“Wells are going dry, and people are becoming very depressed,” said Lori Mercer, director of Cornerstone Children’s Ranch. “We are very thankful for the water that’s being donated to meet the needs of those that are struggling.”

Please pray for those affected by the drought as they work through this tough time.

Today, we celebrate those making a difference through hard work and dedication. Thank you for all you do!

The Deep East Texas Texans on Mission Chainsaw Team helped a woman after a massive tree fell through her roof last week in Mauriceville, Texas.

“It was a near miss on her life,” said TXM chaplain Leslie Burch, “which is a testament to the fact that we absolutely never know when our time will be!”

Deep East Texas Team, thank you for staying hard at work and helping our neighbors when they need it most. We admire your ability to minister and volunteer as often as you do.

Back to school festivities continued last week as Texans on Mission volunteers served burgers and hotdogs for Criswell College students and their families.

We pray for a successful start to the semester!

We remember our previous deployments and we stand ready for the next.

In honor of the anniversary of Hurricane Harvey, Katrina and Laura, we want to recognize that we are here for victims of crisis and always will be.

We’re grateful for our hardworking volunteers and gracious donors who make disaster relief at this scale possible.

This , let’s recognize the importance of clean water.

Roughly 800,000 people die each year from water-borne diseases, including 4,000 children daily. People like you are helping change this by drilling and repairing water wells, and spreading the Gospel.

As Texans on Mission Water Impact transforms lives in Christ’s name, let’s continue to take action for a healthy, sustainable future through prayer, generosity and volunteer work.

Last week, Criswell College students visited our headquarters to make First Step Kits, hygiene kits for those in need.

They also organized t-shirts for disaster relief volunteers and ended their time at Texans on Mission with a tour. These students are so bright and carry such a strong spirit of service. We enjoyed working with them and hope to see them again!

Classes are now in session, and Texans on Mission helped kick off the school year with a hot meal for students at Dallas Baptist University.

This past Monday, students lined up all evening to partake in the meal provided and volunteers spoke and prayed with them as they did so.

It was a great opportunity to serve and love on our youth! We pray everyone has a smooth start to the semester.

Help Texans on Mission and The Carpenter's Hope repair the home of a 78-year-old woman in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Her house suffered major damage four years ago in Hurricanes Laura and Delta. The roof was heavily damaged, but the owner was able to get the roof back on with the small amount of insurance funds she collected. It has been sitting in its current state of demolition and closed up since.

We will work on several project phases during the week. We need skills in electrical; door installations; hanging sheetrock; tape and bed and texture; painting; and many others like finishing trim work. TXM will provide all equipment, tools and materials.
We are happy to lead those interested in learning more about the planning and project development in Long Term Recovery.

Texans on Mission, Love Thy City and several local churches came together this past Saturday to collect log and limb debris left by recent wind storms in Tyler, Texas.

Volunteers collected over 700 cubic yards of debris across 16 locations in just a few hours.

Thank you to the local churches, Love Thy City and TXM volunteers for providing relief to Tyler residents. You all are such a great representation of what it means to be a humble servant.

The sewing saints are back in action this week at Aspendale Mountain Retreat Center.

While their husbands, Texans on Mission Camp Builders, work on construction, they are sewing curtains for the cabins and bags for the camp gift shop. They are also making blankets for TXM’s annual Christmas in the Valley effort.

“People need water to live; they need living water for abundant living.” - Mitch Chapman, Texans on Mission Water Impact Director.

703 million people lack access to clean water. That’s 1 in 10 people on the planet.

People like you and me are working to change that.

TXM Water Impact is drilling deep in Northern Uganda and along the Amazon River in Peru to give thousands of people access to clean drinking water and transform villages for generations.

Be a part of the change, and help Texans on Mission fill the need for clean water today.

Our Camp Builders are at the midway point of a three-week project at Aspendale Mountain Retreat Center outside Cloudcroft, New Mexico. After summer camps ended, Texans on Mission volunteers began work building two cabins and reconstructing a stairway to a dormitory.

Larry Quinn, coordinator of TXM Camp Builders, said the team of eight men and five women will wrap up their part of the project next week. The camp will later bring electrical service to the cabins and finish the project.

The ladies of Texans on Mission Camp Builders make an eternal impact for the Kingdom as they accompany their husbands on monthly projects.

In 2023 and 2024, TXM Camp Builders had more camps request help than they had seen for many years. While volunteer builder teams empower these camps through construction, their wives make skirts and shorts for various ministries; quilts and baby hats for pregnancy centers; and fidget quilts for children with special needs and nursing home residents.

“It’s fun to sew together with a group of women and have fellowship together, but the end goal is to further the kingdom of God,” said volunteer sewer Nancy Morgan.

Texans on Mission volunteers are pouring into Brazoria County to help those impacted by Hurricane Beryl. The unified effort to provide relief for our neighbors at this time is outstanding.

As volunteers maintain a strong spirit of service in the area, continue to pray for strength for affected residents and for those meeting needs. Together, we are strong.

Last fall, First Baptist Hempstead gave more than $26,000 through the statewide Royal Ambassadors mission project, which raised funds to drill a water well in Peru. Nine months later three church members, along with translators from First Melissa, went to help do the work.

“First Baptist Hempstead took a great step of faith and support for missions last year in giving financially to drill the well,” said Texans on Mission Water Impact Director Mitch Chapman. “I’m so thankful we could organize this mission trip so they could be personally involved in the drilling and the ministry.”

After a lot of work alongside Peruvians to drill the well, women began bringing pots to capture the water and kids began to play in it.

“God is being honored. God’s people are being strengthened. And God’s kingdom is being expanded,” Mitch said.

Thousands of Texans on Mission volunteers serve sacrificially after every statewide and worldwide natural disaster. They provide tens of thousands of people with clean drinking water during some of the most difficult situations. A multitude of young men discipled through our programs are joining God in His redemptive work.

TXM Day is dedicated to celebrating these exceptional followers of Christ. One of our favorite ways to do this is involving your church. We would love the opportunity to talk with your church or small group on TXM Day, or any other day, about our collective work and ministry.

God places us exactly where we’re supposed to be.

What was meant to be a trip to Honduras for Vision Quest students turned into a weekend pit stop in Houston after the Microsoft crash halted flights throughout the country.

While students stayed in Houston for three days before the next flight to Honduras, they helped remodel Hope Church, a church plant in Cleveland, Texas. They later toured the Houston feeding site for Hurricane Beryl and gained more insight toward ministry and having a spirit of service.

Update: In spite of mud and water after Houston showers, Texans on Mission chainsaw teams are still going strong. New volunteer teams arrived yesterday to help finish 107 work orders.

Praise Report: TXM volunteers have distributed 134 Bibles since responding to Hurricane Beryl, and eight people have accepted Christ into their lives. Teams are sharing the love of Christ and spreading the Gospel one person at a time through disaster relief.

Please continue to pray for our volunteers meeting physical and spiritual needs in Brazoria and Houston and for those waiting on a helping hand.

Texans on Mission jumped into action after a software glitch caused Heath, Texas, to send out a boil water notice.

Volunteers handed residents 4,000 bottles of water at First Baptist Church of Heath and donated some of the cases to the Department of Public Safety, a retirement community and high school band students practicing in the heat.

Heath is no longer under a boil water notice, and we’re thankful we had the resources to offer clean water at that point in time.

Last Wednesday, Campamento Hispanic Youth Camp brought students together for a missions project and Texans on Mission Volunteer Day.

420 students attended and 52 of them contributed to TXM Volunteer Day by making evangelism bracelets and assembling 500 First Step Kits, hygiene kits, and writing messages of hope.

It’s such a beautiful thing to witness the youth’s involvement in serving the Lord and others in need. Thank you Dallas Baptist University for hosting.

WMU and Red River Valley Association gathered at Southside Baptist Church in Paris, Texas, last week to make 1,800 First Step Kits, hygiene kits for those in need.

Close to 50 volunteers came ready to serve and later donated some of the kits to CitySquare, a local ministry fighting poverty through service, advocacy and friendship. All other kits were donated to Texans on Mission for disaster relief or any other needs that may arise.

Thank you WMU and Red River Valley Association for raising money and dedicating your time to help others.

Recovery efforts haven’t stopped in Ruidoso, New Mexico, since devastating floods and wildfires took place in late June. Over 1,000 homes burned in the fire, and recent record high flood waters destroyed over 200 homes.

Texans on Mission fire, flood and chainsaw teams are helping residents move forward. Please pray for those impacted and for our volunteers helping Ruidoso recover.
