Building a better community, one volunteer at a time.
DADV was established in 1994 by volunteer leaders with a vision to enhance professionalism and knowledge of the industry, learn creative ways to use volunteers & give an opportunity to share experiences, ideas and skills.
🌍 Happy International Volunteer Managers Day! 🎉
As we celebrate 25 years of recognizing the essential work of volunteer managers, we also look forward to a “future normal” that is evolving quickly. This year’s theme prompts us to reflect on how we adapt and lead in new directions such as:
đź’ˇ Shaping National Volunteering Strategies to elevate the role of Volunteer Leaders
đź’ˇAnticipating shifts in workforce expectations and supporting diverse volunteer and leadership needs
đź’ˇ Prioritizing the secure handling of personal volunteer data as trust becomes ever more critical
đź’ˇ Leveraging AI in Volunteer Management to enhance our impact and efficiency
Together, let’s embrace these changes and build a future where volunteer managers drive community impact in powerful ways.

The very fabric of our organization is built upon the individuals who have supported us every step of the way.
We had to make a strategic decision that went out to our members to step back and reevaluate the future of our organization. It wasn't easy, but it was a necessary decision to put us back on track to what we know and believe we can offer to volunteer engagement professionals in the Dallas area.
After a strategic planning session that answered some hard truths and pivoted to match the changing demands of our members' needs - we were thrilled to share the fruits of our labor.
And this is why messages like this mean the world to us...
