It is with tremendous regret and sadness to share with you that our Membership Specialist and Education Committee Co-Chair Khyle Leong passed away peacefully Tuesday night at the age of 37 surrounded by his family.

Happy Father's Day to our TWU Local 555 family!

The TWU Local 555 Executive Board is saddened to share the passing of Kevin Carney. Kevin was hired at Southwest Airlines in May of 1983.

During Kevin's tenure with the Company, Kevin served many years as the PHX Ramp Local Union Rep. In May of 2004, Kevin was elected to the Local Executive Board as a District Representative. Kevin served 4 terms as a District Representative. Kevin was a member of the negotiations committee for the 2008 CBA (the red book) and the 2016 CBA (black book, current contract).

Kevin's quiet, yet dedicated devotion as a Union advocate has touched many lives. Collectively, our membership has benefited greatly by Kevin's work as a Union advocate, negotiator, and advocate trainer. The work that Kevin did during his time will continue to have a lasting impact on this Local for many years to come.

We offer our heartfelt condolences to his wife of 39 years, Shelly, and his children. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Carney family.
