As we reach the end of National Health Center Week, we want to highlight the future of Parkland Health's COPCs- today we turn the spotlight to the Richland Health Center at Dallas College.
The Richland Health Center at Dallas College will be located around five miles north of Parkland’s Vickery Health Center and less than 10 miles from Garland Health Center. The center will provide an additional 30,000 square feet of space to Parkland's ambulatory health portfolio in the heavily populated northeast Dallas County area.
According to Parkland’s assessment of the prevalence of health challenges in Dallas County, the community surrounding the Richland campus is rated a “high” risk area mainly due to a disproportionately high incidence of chronic conditions including hypertension, diabetes, asthma, heart disease and cancer. By adding an additional health center to the area, Parkland hopes to both provide for more patients and alleviate wait times at surrounding clinics.
This week we've showcased the monumental impact of Community Oriented Health Centers on the Dallas County community. Do you want to be a part of the mission to advance health equity and increase access to essential care in Dallas County?

For our 3rd feature during National Health Center Week, we would like to turn the spotlight on our newest primary care clinic- the C.V. Roman Health Center.
C.V. Roman was built to fill a need for local healthcare in the Redbird community, including Duncanville, Desoto, Cedar Hill and Lancaster. Originally named the RedBird Health Center, the center was renamed to honor Dr. Charles Victor Roman.
Stretching nearly 40,000 square feet, the center includes adult, pediatric and geriatric preventative and primary care as well as behavioral health services, and both an on-site lab and pharmacy.
One feature that makes C.V. Roman so unique is their pediatric waiting room. Designed to bring a calming presence, the neon green glow and tree murals that adorn the walls are a perfect environment for young patients.
