Hello Neighbors! Scout will be closed tonight but we are planning to be ready for service Dinner tomorrow, Friday, August 16th at 5pm! Fingers crossed! Hope to see you soon!

Hi friends and neighbours! Repairs are almost complete and the two members of our team who were involved in the incident on Monday are on the mend and expected to make a full recovery. We appreciate all the kind messages and well wishes and we look forward to reopening next week.

Scout will be closed tonight, Friday, August 9, 2024. We will be closed for Brunch service tomorrow. Whether we will be able to open for Saturday Dinner service or on Sunday is as yet undetermined. We are striving to reopen as soon as possible. We will post updates as the restoration progresses. We apologize for any inconvenience. We appreciate all of the support from the community and we hope to see you all soon.

Scout is closed today due to a small kitchen fire that occurred on Monday during our routine cleaning and maintenance. Some staff sustained injuries, but thankfully, everyone on our team is in stable condition and on the mend. We are working to resume operations as soon as possible. We will continue to post updates as the situation develops. We apologize for any inconvenience and we appreciate your patience as we work to restore the restaurant.

It is with great sadness that the Scout shares the news of the passing of a member of the Scout family, Neesha English. She was the wife of our Kitchen Manager, Big Mike, who has been a critical member of our team and
a familiar face in Oakhurst for many years. She died peacefully on February 6, 2024, in the early morning hours. Her loss will affect us all, though none more than her husband, Big Mike, and their 7 year old son, Little Mike. She was a genuinely good spirit, a joy to be around and her light cannot be replaced. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Instead of flowers, the family asks for donations to the Go Fund Me that was set up for Mike by Chef Crystal. Neesha will be greatly missed and always in our memory as a kind and lovely spirit, a strong wife, and loving mother. Anything you can do to help Big Mike and his son, as they navigate this difficult time, would be greatly appreciated.
