Today we remember a great man, not a perfect man. I appreciate his sacrifice and dedication!

Meet the founder and visionary for BWN Sister Kisha Jones-Pate !!
She has a tremendously huge heart for the community. She’s always giving back and her efforts is towards making a difference one woman at a time.

She’s been named a trailblazer amongst her peers in women empowerment as she walks in the footsteps and carries out the legacy of her late mother Mary Ola Jones who was 1st runner Miss Black America, Miss NewYork. She dance with Alvin Alley Dance Company. She performed Carnegie Hall, Broadway and more…

Kisha is no stranger to hard work or the struggle coming from a single mother with four children with Kisha being the eldest. This is why she fights so hard for BWN sisters and their families. She believes that everyone has a purpose and she is committed to helping everyone reach that level of success that makes a powerful impact. She believes in the circulation of the black dollar and taking care of home first.

Over the years she’s been consistent and present in women empowerment, business development, women’s health advocacy, kid entrepreneurship and human trafficking awareness as her only son was part of a attempted abduction in 2019 as a 12 yr old.

Kisha dedicated this organization to her mother who passed from Colon Cancer in 09. Every Yr she’s recognized and honored her mother and kept the dream alive which is helping women and families. She’s leading the charge as a conduit putting missing pieces together.

She has welcomed women from all backgrounds as she’s live by being inclusive and never looking down on anyone. BWN has re-opened it’s membership and in less than 2 months over 200 new sisters have joined the tribe. Her statement and motto is “Those that are looking for us we’re looking for you”. This organization has been built on a philosophy “help enough people get what they want and you’ll automatically get what you want”.

BWN is celebrating 13 yrs as a nonprofit organization and invites all entrepreneurs, professionals, business owners, philanthropist, and ministries to partner and participate.
