Because two years deserves two posts… Allison and Matt kicked off their wedding weekend with a sunset, sailboat cruise around Manhattan with all of their guests. One of the most unique, memorable experiences for a welcome party.

Quite possibly one of my favorite photos that I’ve taken recently. A quick second turn, shot from the hip. Simultaneously as the kiss is happening, a spontaneous choice.

For me, this year is all about refinement and being as present as possible when photographing weddings. It’s hard to not want to impose what you think a wedding day should be but rather simmer in documenting the wedding day as it is happening. What it felt like, truly.

It takes an immense amount intentionality to relinquish control and give full inspiration to the wedding day. Leaving room for creative liberation and spontaneity.

I am challenging myself this year to stop looking elsewhere. Weddings are filled to the brim with inspiration. Be inspired and immerse yourself in the celebration.

Last night embracing the last bit of California sun in the high desert. A sweet welcome. The anticipation of a weekend filled with pure joy and celebration. I continue to be in awe witnessing the abundant love that can surround two people.

I’ve recently been looking back at my past work. Both wedding and editorial. Finding a newfound inspiration being inspired by my own creations.

I am currently in LA photographing a wedding today and reminded me of this editorial with one of my best friends and creative visionaries for her brand campaign in 2020.

Aspen, the pinnacle of western fashion.

Speeches at weddings have quickly become an absolute highlight for me.

The joy is abundant.
The laughter is infectious.
The tears are joyous.

The personal stories and sweet sentiments are what captivate me. It is in this moment that we deeply learn about who our couples truly are. Hearing stories of their kindness and accomplishments. Their childhood stories and their wild nights. Witnessing the deep rooted love friends and family have for two individuals separately and collectively. It is pure and it is beautiful.

Then the moment after the toast.
The embraceful hug.
The kisses on the cheek infused with unwavering love.
The cheering from loved ones.

This to me is the celebration. It brings me profound joy and often it is what imprints on me years from that day. It is human connection at its finest.

I still wake up on wedding days feeling giddy. I hope that never goes away. Also these two cuties and their beautiful mountain ranch wedding last summer.

Headed to south to New Mexico for a very special wedding this weekend. We’ve got 4 weddings in the next 4 weeks and that’s it for the year. Already feeling sad that it’s almost the end of another wedding season.

There is always a part of me that gets a little sad when wedding season starts coming to an end. It’s been a big growing year and finally feeling settled in so many ways. Grateful for each and everyone of you that’s followed along all these years and to every single one of my couples, families, and everyone who has trusted in my artistic vision. Had the sweetest time photographing this beautiful family last night. It was just pure joy and love beaming from these three. Family sessions will always be one of my favorite things to document.

Ended a month and a half stretch of weddings with these two on Monday. Newland and Ram flew out from the east coast to get their engagement photos taken in the mountains. It was their first time in Colorado and so happy I got to share this beautiful place with them in all her majestic beauty. Seeing these mountains for the first time is an experience that you don’t forget. They wore traditional vintage Burmese attire honoring their cultural roots. Loved getting to meet these two.
