Today is recognized by some Christian denominations as World Day of Prayer for Creation—a moment to come together in prayerful reflection and commitment to caring for our planet.

We pray that our collective efforts lead to a future where harmony, compassion, and gratitude for the Earth prevail.

On this day, we remember Hurricane Katrina and the lives forever changed by its devastation. We honor the strength and resilience of the communities affected. As we reflect, let's also renew our commitment to climate action and sustainable practices for a future where no community is left behind. 🕊️🌿

We remember that an estimated 1,800 people died in the catastrophic aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The climate crisis continues to cause extreme weather events & more deaths. We must act now to stop climate change.

MidAmerican’s George Neal North coal plant had more than $22 million in excess costs in just three years, all charged to Iowa ratepayers. If MidAmerican wants to keep these plants open, they should cover the costs. bit.ly/midamexcess
