🩺 Iowa is the 7th worst state for active physicians per capita (Becker’s Hospital Review)
👵 Iowa is the 2nd worst state for the number of nursing home inspectors (U.S. Senate)
🧑‍⚕️ Iowa is the worst state for active OB-GYNs per capita (American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology)
🌽 Iowa has lost 3,367 family farms since 2012 (Iowa State University)
🪧 At 6 weeks, Iowa has one of the most restrictive abortion bans in the country

Tonight, she said Iowans should be able to hold their leaders accountable on success or failure at the ballot box. By nearly every measure, I couldn’t agree with her more.

Tonight Rep. Jennifer Konfrst joined Iowa PBS to give Iowa House Democrats take on Governor Kim Reynolds Condition of the State speech tonight. A lot of the Governor’s ideas are still leaving Iowans behind and do very little to improve lives or lower expenses.

Drove slowly and carefully to the Capitol for a few meetings and the Governor's Condition of the State speech. Thanks to all our public works crews for clearing the roads. Stay safe and warm out there, everyone!

Honored to serve Iowans regardless of the weather! Thank you to our public safety and city, county, & state emergency management services workers who are working around the clock to keep us safe today. It’s slippery, so be careful if you have to go outside!

Filed my first two bills today! One requires the Attorney General to resume paying for emergency contraception for victims of sexual assault.

The other would add a personalized note on your tax statement telling you how much of your money went toward private school vouchers each year.

These are both practical solutions to hopefully restore just a little common sense in our state again.

Students showed up today at the capitol for a powerful March For Our Lives Iowa rally. It's past time to make changes to end gun violence. Iowa kids deserve to feel safe at school.
