Una leyenda de la Nueva Canción Mexicana
llega a Detroit.

Just sharing some progress pics to keep folks in the LOOP and EXCITED about the future of what will eventually be a 1.25 acre Latine Internationalist Arts and Cultural Campus in Southwest Detroit.
Layin down the foundation for another 3 decades and beyond!! And cementing the legacy of our founder Ismael “Bandolero” Duran and all that his passion and values taught us. ✊🏼
Big thanks to the AMAZING team (Laura, Mike, Lauren and Tian) for guiding us in this work and dreaming up possibilities together!
And to every single one of you who has been involved in meetings/workshops along the way these last two years as we worked on pivoting this project away from the old Livernois site. We couldn’t do ANY of this; the healing, the dreaming, or the infinite amounts of sweat equity required without you!!!
ADELANTE!!!
It’s almost time again…
Spread the word and consider applying to be a vendor, artist, or workshop curator at the 4th annual Dia de la Mujer - Womxns Day Brunch and Forum.
Let’s come together to celebrate ourselves and all the things that make us PODEROSAS!!!!
As we also reflect on the current state of Womxns Liberation struggles around the world. Creating a safe space for dialogue, learning, and opportunities to develop deeper relationships among womxn (of all ages) in our communities.
