Biomedical Laboratory Diagnostics Program

The BLD program provides a strong basic science degree that prepares students to join the workforce in the rapidly expanding and changing laboratory profession. And our majors are designed to provide preprofessional students with solid preparation for advanced study in a variety of medical and medically-related fields.

Our program was formerly known as the "Medical Technology" program at Michigan State University, which has been active on campus since 1926. Our program is located on the third floor of North Kedzie Hall and we are part of the College of Natural Science.
