The move back to Edina has been great. Many old and new clients are finding their way to the new salon. Rob’s realizing the number of clients interested in Burley's is exceeding his capacity as a sole proprietor. So, he's decided to seek out a partner in the salon.

The ideal candidate has two to five years experience in a recognized salon—and is seeking greater independence and income. Of course, this person would need to also be personable and able to work with a wide range of client/styling situations. The new partner would tap into a solid and growing client base with more substantial ownership opportunities down the road.

Burley's Hair Salon updated their address.

It's a race to the finish line at our new Edina location (4514 Valley View Rd)! We'll be ready to greet clients Friday, Feb. 1 (one way or the other)!

Rob's excited to announce that effective Feb. 1, Burley's Hair Salon will return to Edina. Construction is underway on the new space on Valley View Road. Stay tuned for more updates.

The Rob Report 9/20/18: Rob is doing a lot better!
His surgery was three weeks today. He's up moving and going to rehab (3-times/week). He can start driving toward the end of September. Rob hopes to be back up and at it by end of October. Thanks for all your support!

The Rob Report 9/5/18: Following successful quadruple bypass heart surgery last week, Rob has been discharged from the hospital and is now home for recovery! He's doing well and will be going through rehab. Thanks again for all the kind words, thoughts and prayers.

We just received word that Rob's surgery yesterday went very well and that he's recovering in the ICU. Thanks everyone for your kind words of support.

Rob will be out of the salon for an indefinite number of weeks recovering from heart surgery.

Dear Burley’s Clients & Friends,
Many of you have heard that changes are coming soon for Burley’s Hair Salon. After 16 years in our current location, I have had the great opportunity to accept an offer for the building and lot from a condominium developer. Our final day in the Valley View location will be June 15. I’m excited to also announce that I have entered into a new salon partnership with Interlachen Barber Shop and will be continuing my styling business there without interruption, along with offering the popular Aveda line of products. Interlachen Barbers is located at 9080 Excelsior Blvd (next door to Midas and Batteries R Us), and the Burley’s salon phone number will transfer there. It’s a very convenient location with plenty of parking right outside of the salon. I’m already taking appointments for when I’m there, so the transition will be seamless. Kim and Jenni will be going independent and moving on after Burley’s closes its current site. However, you will continue to be greeted by Dude, Walter and Donny!

Burley’s would like to introduce our newest stylist, Hailey Whitehurst. She’s new to town having most recently been a stylist with the Language of Hair salon in Duluth. A native of Hastings, Hailey has many friends in the area and is happy to be in The Cities where her boyfriend Nick is pursuing his CPA certification.

Hailey graduated from The Aveda Institute in 2012 so really knows the Aveda product line. Her specialty is color. You’ll quickly find that Hailey is a very fun and outgoing person who should fit right in with the Burley’s crew.

When asked why she pursued a position with Burley’s, Hailey said she “really liked the fact that the shop was run by a practicing stylist, not some corporate manager.” She continued, “The low-key, friendly vibe of the shop makes it feel like the perfect place for me.”
