Edina ABC is a non-profit organization providing a quality education to academically talented students of color from families of modest means since 1972.
A Better Chance (ABC) is a national organization dedicated to providing strong educational opportunities to students of color. The ABC goal is to increase the number of well-educated minority students and make it possible for deserving students to reach their full potential. Our Edina ABC chapter has been operating since 1972. In 2005 we reached a milestone and became the first ABC chapter to graduate 100 students.

Our Edina ABC Community is amazing! We are only short ONE host family for the upcoming year! Please let me know if you have any interest in hosting a scholar every other weekend from Saturday 12pm -Sunday 12pm. I can share details of what it looks like. The new scholars are amazing young women!

About Edina ABC
Since 1972, Edina ABC has offered an excellent college-preparatory education to students of color from around the country who are academically talented and highly motivated but have limited family income and therefore limited access to an academically rigorous high school education.
We admit 2 students per year through an extensive and competitive application and interview process. Edina ABC students live in a family-like environment in our boarding house in Edina while attending 9th-12th grade at Edina High School, which is a top-rated school both locally and nationally. We provide our students with a safe and nurturing home away from home as well as thorough academic and personal support, including in-house tutoring and local host families. 100% of our graduates attend college. In 2005 we reached a milestone and became the first ABC chapter to graduate 100 students.
We partner with the national A Better Chance (ABC) organization and are part of a network of more than 300 ABC programs at excellent public and private schools from coast to coast. A Better Chance recruits and receives applications from hundreds of talented students of color from across the United States and refers them to local ABC chapters for consideration.
Our program is independently funded and operated and our students participate at no cost thanks to the generous support of our donor and volunteer community.
