This is too often true of someone who suffers from inordinate pride or is unable to admit they are ever wrong.
Before we can decide that we cannot accept this or that, we had better examine our part in the deadlock. Were our expectations unreasonable? Did we
demand too much? Are we being confronted with a natural reprisal for our rigid, uncompromising attitude?
If we have hurt someone or demanded too much of them, swift retribution may dismay or infuriate us. Shouldn't we search out the causes and do something to correct them?
Today's Reminder:
You may feel ever so justified in "taking a stand" but let's consider whether it is something you did that led to the crisis. To remain unyielding may result in disaster you may be less prepared to accept!
So today, rather than assigning blame, accept responsibility where you should. Let the possibilities inspire you more than the obstacles discourage you.

Here is our new Program Director Mary MacVarish. She comes to us from Gosnold where she was a clinician at Emerson House among others. Please stop in and welcome her to Fairwinds.

We received a donation of winter coats, sweaters and accessories. Women's small and medium, men's xl wool coat, men's 2xl. Come in and grab some if you need them.

FairwindsFalmouth can help you eliminate the barrier of transportation to our clubhouse. The Human Services Transportation Department in Massachusetts provides zero-cost transportation to be able to access Clubhouse Services. If you join FairwindsFalmouth as a Member, Clubhouse staff can enroll you in this service for free. If this sounds like a benefit to you, email [email protected] or call 508-540-6011 to learn more about this and set up a time to meet. If you really need us to come to your home, we will be happy to stop by.

Members joining in an employee training video about "Overcoming Cultural Bias" utilizing our Smartboard. This is an example of Clubhouse Staff involving Members in the operations of Fairwinds Clubhouse.

The renewal of the outside of our building represents one of the main purposes of FairwindsFalmouth - Rehabilitation. Come in and meet our new Director Carol Mills to learn more about how you can participate in the restoration of you and/or your loved one's life.

Please stop in and welcome our new Director Carol Mills, M. Ed. We are looking forward to a positive future for Fairwinds with her leadership!

Thank you very much Kathleen Botelho for the great and brand new picnic table. The Members are very grateful for it.

On Saturday, Karin was seen enjoying a serene moment while picking blueberries in this poignant photograph taken at Coonamessett Farm. Everyone enjoyed themselves and Ken Beals provided a tasty picnic lunch.

"Today's lunch was well put together. The Fish Chowder was amazing. We also had Fish Sticks, French Fries, Peas and Carrots for a vegetable." Troy C.

We are still hoping for Adam's safe return.
