When you’ve been photographing a family every year for well over a decade, it’s always a little bit of a challenge to make each year a little different. This year we went for a fun downtown feel and of course the pups had to get fancied up with velvet bows for their night on the town. And you wouldn’t know it from the photos, but this happened to be the hottest day of the summer. They were all such troopers and I think the results were well worth it!

She’s the 7th precious babe for this family and she still gets her very own newborn photo shoot! I’ve photographed their family several times before… even her teenage sister back when she was a baby and I’m always overjoyed when they contact me the the joyous news of a new addition!

Since it's almost April and we are still buried under snow, I thought I'd share images from a session we did before Christmas when we were SO excited to have snow in time for holiday card photos! Spring can arrive any time!

Today I'm sharing an at-home newborn session I did last fall and I loved how simple and special it felt! It was so convenient ... little brother could finish his nap, big brother could go to pre-school, dad could swing home on his lunch hour and mom could get dressed while I photographed baby sis. My favs from this session were big brothers being so excited about their new baby sister.

It's the day of love and I LOVE doing photos for seniors so today I'm sharing one of my favorite senior sessions from last season! One more month and my senior schedule will be open for the summer. If you have already emailed me, I've got your inquiry tagged and will contact you in the order you emailed to make sure you get your spot. Enjoy these warm-weather photos... can't wait until we get long evenings with sparkling golden light again!

I love it when families still prioritize family photos even when their kids are a little more grown up. Schedules get harder to coordinate and activity-free time is a little harder to come by, but these photos are so worth making it happen!

Happy New Year friends! I finally have an updated blog post up with photos from this adorable lake session plus updates about how things might look different at Rialee Photography moving forward. Most of the changes are resulting from our upcoming move to the lakes area. Here are a few highlights:

- no longer offering corporate photography
- only taking 10 seniors this summer
- newborn sessions will be limited to two per month
- opening the calendar 4 months at a time; will start booking summer in March

I'm looking forward to a fun and maybe a little bit slower more intentional year. With the pricing and availability changes I realize there are some people who might not be able to get on the calendar and that makes me so sad, but as always I'm so thankful for everyone who continues to ask me to capture their families and their special moments.

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to you of you! I just love getting these cards in the mail this time of year. Thank you so much for all of the business, love and support in 2022. I'm wishing you all some cozy days relaxing with the ones you love most. (Who am I kidding... we all know there is not much relaxing going on at Christmas). I'm going to be taking some time over the next couple of weeks dreaming about the upcoming year and will be planning some changes so stay tuned!
