My son built this cool sculpture out of and when he held it up to show me something caught my eye. This is what I saw! The sunlight pouring in through the window highlighted the bricks just perfectly and made some really neat designs when I shot through the center! I swear I am always seeing the world through a camera lens. 😂🤷🏼‍♀️

Hey I know these kids! Although its hard to believe these are my kids. Who gave them permission to grow up? It has been a while since I've done "official" pictures of my own kids. Della needed an updated headshot, and let's be honest, Oliver still needed his school picture done, so I decided it was the perfect time to try out the brand-spanking new Studio Borealis! It was fantastic, what an amazing space for photographers. We used both the studio and natural light space and I loved, loved them both!

One of my goals this year is to find more indoor options to hold sessions and I've already rented two different spaces in 2024! So yeah - don't let winter slow you down! If you want fun, updated pictures - let's talk! Updated pictures of your kids, headshots, you name it, let's do it!

I had the honor of photographing the Bergman family this past week! We did something a little different and I used the amazing space at . This is the first time I've rented studio space in Fargo and its something I see myself doing again because let's face it - family pictures in the warm indoors is pretty appealing in January. 😉

Grandparents are the absolute best, aren't they? I popped up to Grand Forks on New Year's Day and had a fabulous time with the wonderful Stephan/Korsmo family. Truly some of the kindest people I know. Thanks for having me!

Baby Sidles. You are a dream, sweet girl! I have never seen so much love under one roof, so yep, full-on overshare here. This in-home lifestyle newborn session was perfect in every way. Capturing her tiny newborn details, her big sisters' excitement and the whole family's love is what I'm here for.

We have had amazing "winter" weather in North Dakota this past week, haven't we? I'll take it. You know what else I'll take? This seriously adorable family! Gah! I pinch myself that I get to hang out and photograph such incredible humans. Thank you, Beattys!

Can I just say that sunrise sessions are the BOMB?! Jack, Will and Addy (and their parents, of course!) were up before dark to meet me this morning. On a weekend no less!

Kael, class of 2024. First of all, HOW? How are all of my friends' kids seniors? I have known Kael since he was little and I just can't believe he's a senior!
As you can see from his session, running (both cross-country and track) is a huge part of Kael's life so it was important to him that we incorporate it into his session. In addition to being wicked fast, Kael is an incredible human, inside and out. It was an honor to document this time in his life!

Caiden, class of 2024. I asked Caiden what he likes about high school, and without hesitation he responded, "Art. I really like art." In fact, he plans to pursue art school after graduation. I can't wait to see where your talent takes you, Caiden! Thanks for spending your afternoon with me.

This family has been very good friends of ours since our sons did preschool together. They have since moved to Norway, but visit in the summers - a time our family looks forward to so much! This year we snuck in an impromptu photo shoot with them and their grandpa - 93 years young! I also took a quick one of all the kids together. They were nice enough to pause their intense game of capture the flag for me. 😉
