The snow globe outside has me reminiscing on this very hygge session on location at the Summer Huis on the in Princeton, Mn.

We strategized two types of shots: clean interiors to rent the space and lifestyle images to show the multiple use opportunities of weddings, work retreats, and getaways.

Came for lofted space, stayed for the goat snuggles and wood fire pizzas 🤠

Over the past couple of years I’ve been focusing on business branding and events (which I LOVE and will continue to prioritize) but I saw this set and couldn’t pass up the opportunity to include the kiddos and families that I’ve missed so much! Kicked off day lights savings with the most dreamy morning sun + sauna photo session! 🌞

The steamy deets 🔥:
has been using photos from a blizzard sauna workshop I took in 2019 to promote events. Though fun (yay longevity!), we figured it was time for an upgrade 😜

We paired the shoot with a pop-up sauna event (still spots this weekend!), moved the sauna so it would be in direct light, started the stove fire when I arrived so it wouldn’t steam up my lens, shot with my 24mm to get the shots inside the barrel, and directed our amazing pals to best show off the experience, amenities, and community benefits 🪵

Each year, Maria of treats herself to a bday shoot to recognize her growth as a company and human. It was delightful to pop champagne at 11am and document where all the hard work she’s put in these last 365 days has taken her!

It was neat getting to create cohesive imagery while individually showcasing each flavor’s feel/vibe. Vivian also brought a few additional CBD products they’ve made since our last shoot, including their pet care calming kit, which meant brand ambassador Chunk came along too 🐾

Their mission to provide affirming healthcare for the LGBTQIA+ community resonates deeply with me ✨ The team is an absolute delight, their space is as colorful as can be, and their amazing service offerings were a blast to make into visuals/flatlays 🍌🍊

“I’ll never want to photograph headshots” was something I used to say when I was under the impression that headshots had to be boring. In fact, they are anything but that! A mix of editorial self-love and business headshots, the variety in this session is my absolute favorite! Highlighting her love of fashion, we swapped up backdrop colors. It’s so neat to watch how an outfit change and color swap can pull out a different side of someone’s personality and energy!

“I’ve got a story to tell, it’s a very good story. I hold it dear” -

I’ve had the privilege of photographing various album covers for Jessica Vines. Before each photoshoot, she tells me key words and what she hopes people feel from the album. This album: dreamlike, story book, introspection, fog machine, bubbles, grainy, ripped paper.

I love how it all came together. The way she’s using the imagery for promotion and how every shoot grows with Jess as an artist and me as a photographer.

Sadly, I can’t make it to her Fargo show - YOU SHOULD GO THIS SATURDAY AT - so Mckaila and I did a little to the cities and back on Tuesday night. WORTH IT.

Upon quitting my full-time job in 2017, I joined the team as I navigated being a freelance photographer. Being a beer tender enabled networking, stability, supplementary income, and flexibility as I pursued my own thing.

Pre-planning and art directing are my favorite things that come with a brand shoot. Getting to press go on all of the strategy prior is incredibly rewarding! Especially when there are 14 models enjoying the product and service with laughter, banter, and connection. I am so excited about what we created today and can’t wait to share more! I am so grateful for who assisted during the session and photographed these behind the scene images.
