We have one more Sweet Frog night scheduled before it turns cold.....come out and join us! This will be our last one until next year! Make sure you say you are there to support New Century International Elementary! You can go all day at either location to support us, but we will be taking attendance from 4-6pm at the Good Middling location. The class in K-2 and 3-5 with the highest attendance will win a prize!

For students who are in district and will be bus riders in the upcoming school year, parents must complete the Intent to Ride survey. Even if your child rode a bus last year, this is how students get assigned a bus for the next school year.

Student Intent to Ride Survey
Families with bus-riding students are encouraged to complete the Student Intent to Ride Survey regarding school bus transportation needs for the upcoming school year. The survey must be completed by August 2, 2023 in order to be included in the initial bus route for the first day of school which is August 9 for our Early Colleges and August 28 for our Traditional schools Year-Round students/parents, please complete the survey by July 5. Students who complete the survey and are eligible for transportation will be assigned to a bus and routing information will be available at the schools' Open House. We are having a membership drive as we "reboot" our PTA! You student should come home today or tomorrow with a membership form and volunteer sheet. You can also join online at the link below. The class from each grade with the highest percent of members will earn a treat of the teacher's choosing. (The teacher will also get a prize!) If you join online please indicate which teacher(s) your student has. The membership drive will go through December 3rd. You can still join after that but it won't be counted toward the drive. The cost of membership is $5. Let me know if you have questions!

This PTA is in desperate need of a new start. In two weeks - Wednesday, October 27 - I’d like to have a virtual meeting to elect a new board and vote on some urgent budget considerations. If you have interest in participating as a board member or volunteer please send us a message or email me at [email protected] . We currently need all positions filled - President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, committee members, etc. I’m not sure how much the PTA will be actually in the school this year, but there are ways to still help our students and teachers. Now that we’re back in school we need to have a meeting! We’re actually scheduling two virtual netting’s in a row so feel free to join us at either one. The first one will be Wednesday, March 31, at 6:30 and the second one will be Thursday, April 1, at 6:30. If you can’t make either meeting we’ll send out the info by email and post it in Facebook. Our main order of business will be looking towards the future: how we want to finish this year and start next year (with our limited ability to see the future and know if we’ll be able to be in the school.)

Don’t forget!!!! You have until 5pm on Monday to make any changes to your student’s remote or in-person learning. If they are currently full remote and you want them to be in the school after Spring Break you need to fill out the form. If they are in cohort A or B and you would rather they switch to full virtual you need to fill out the form. If you don’t fill out the form your student will stay with their current learning choice. Afternoon Car-Riders Please fill this form out if you have a child(ren) who will be a car rider in the afternoon at NCIES in grades K-5. Pre-k will be given separate instructions by their homeroom teacher. Every k-5 parent or guardian will receive a number associated with your child(ren) to help with car rider pick up.....

The PTA is not planning any fundraisers this year. Frankly we all don’t need one more thing! But you can help us simply by shopping on Amazon! You can connect your account (on the computer or the app) to our school or a bunch of other charities. A small portion of your purchase will come back to the school. On the app go to the menu and under Programs and Features you’ll see Amazon Smile. There you can select the charity or charities you want to support. On the computer you’ll also want to look for Amazon Smile. Every little bit helps support our school!

Please please please please! Please link your Harris Teeter Vic card to our school! We’re not planning any fundraisers for the year so this is one of the only ways our PTA will be earning money! Our school number is 8543!
