As summer comes to an end, many families are finding it harder to make ends meet. With kids out of school, the added expenses can be overwhelming. Extra food costs, increased utility bills due to extreme heat, and the ever-rising cost of child-care are just a few of the challenges families face.

Camp is more than just a fun summer adventure. It's a place where kids can make lifelong friends, explore the wonders of nature, and learn important life skills. For many children, this experience is out of reach. Your support can change that. Give the Gift of Camp this summer to give children the opportunity to learn about the love and grace of Jesus Christ.

Majors Tim and Cheryl Grider will bid farewell to the community during The Salvation Army church service on Sunday, June 16, 2024, at 11:00 am at The Salvation Army Corps Community Center, 220 E. Russell St., Fayetteville, NC. The community is invited to attend.
The Griders’ farewell marks the end of their six-year service with The Salvation Army of the Sandhills Region. Majors Grider will continue their ministry in Clarksburg, West Virginia, where they will serve as the leaders of The Salvation Army. Major Cheryl says, “We have thoroughly enjoyed our time serving in the Sandhills area. We started off our time here with Hurricane Florence relief efforts, struggled through the Covid years together, and completed a Mission Planning Study for the future of The Salvation Army here, and we know that God has amazing plans for The Salvation Army of the Sandhills. While we look forward to what God has in store for us in West Virginia, we will deeply miss our friends and partners here. We have been blessed to work among people truly dedicated to serving others.” In late June, the Salvation Army of the Sandhills will welcome its new officers, Major Aaron and Capt. Jamie Goldfarb, coming to us from Morehead City, NC.
