Apologies for our delay, we have been so busy being present with our families during this holiday season. However, we were able to bless 65 families with groceries and gift cards to help them close out the 2022 year. We look forward to being able to continue spreading our mission of love and hope all 2023!!

Our 3rd annual big give is coming up and we need your support. Thank you to our community partners , and ! We appreciate you all helping us pass along our message of love and empowering our community. Session 2: Kent from 2-4.

This week’s special feature for is a young giver we’ve been blessed by. Shawna has been on two tour stops with us and every time she is willing and ready to help those in need. The first slide is from last year’s give with her grandpa and the second is from yesterday. Her heart has only grown more. Shawna thank you for all you do & Chakira thank you for teaching her the importance of giving back at such a young age👏🏾

It was all a dream & now it’s a reality!!! Thank you to everyone that has supported us on this journey ❤️

“From Homeless to Hopeful” has been the ongoing motto for P’s Community Closet since the beginning of our journey. It’s been almost 2 years and we still stand strongly by it today.

Recently, we have run into some issues with being able to provide resources bi-weekly due to the recent rise in homeless camp sweeps across our neighboring cities. It’s been extremely heartbreaking to know that we aren’t giving back at the rate we originally set out to , simply because they are being forced to leave at such a rapid rate with less than 72-hour notices.

While we understand and don’t dismiss the way this can impact business because of how it “looks” when someone is outside of their property, we also try to imagine how it “feels” to be removed from public property that you have had to make your safe space and home.

We have never stated that we want to end homelessness, as we understand there are multiple factors and circumstances that lead one up to this point. However, we have always wanted to change the narrative and outlook on those in these predicaments.

We want to empower, rather than enable. We want to come together, rather than tear down and overlook. We want to empathize rather than shed sympathy. We want to be the change we wish to see in this world and we will continue to fight for equal rights to housing for all, regardless of what that “home” looks like to each individual.

We thank all of those that continue to donate their time, resources, money and assistance in helping us continue to spread love and empowerment for all we encounter through their lives transitions. We will remain hopeful to continue on our mission and expand our resources daily.

Tour stop two was a success for downtown Tacoma. We were able to bless our community with hygiene kits and snack packs for on the go. The responses and energy we received on Sunday was exactly what we needed to know we are in alignment with our mission. The next stop will be May 22nd so stay tuned 🌏
