Attention Parents: If you would like to eat lunch with your student this year, we will be starting that the first Friday of September (9/6). After the 6th, parents may come eat lunch with their students on Fridays only. We look forward to seeing everyone!

This past Friday, Walker's own Bria Daniels had the amazing opportunity of representing Crandall's Special Olympics Cheer Team at the Breakfast of Champions put on by the Dallas Sherriff's Office. Bria's ultimate dream is to become a police officer one day, so this was a great chance for Bria to learn about her future career, and maybe even meet some future coworkers! All while showing off her Pirate Pride! Way to go, Bria!!

Reminder: Meet the Teacher is TONIGHT from 5:00-7:00. Please make sure that your student's online registration is complete in Skyward Family Access. There will also be some food trucks in the bus loop if you would like to grab a bite to eat, and the Warped Waffle will be donating 10% of their proceeds to Walker PTO. We look forward to seeing everyone tonight!

Brett Hensley State Farm will be hosting a School Supply Event on August 8, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Brett Hensley State Farm - 1317 E US HWY 175 Suite 900 Crandall, TX 75114. If you are interested, please see the attached flyer for more details!

REMINDER: Meet the Teacher is tomorrow night from 5:00-7:00 at Walker. Please make sure that your student's 'Back to School Form' is completed in Skyward. This must be completed in order to get your student's schedule at Meet the Teacher. Please use the attached flyer for instructions on how to find this form.

Home Visits were so much fun yesterday!! Only 6 more days until the school year gets started!

With the first day of school right around the corner, our staff will be out in the neighborhood doing home visits! This will be on August 6th from 1:00-4:00 and is a great opportunity our teachers to introduce themselves to your student before Meet the Teacher! We look forward to stopping by and saying hello to everyone!

Online registration for the 24-25 school year is now open. These forms MUST be completed before Meet the Teacher on August 8th. If they are not completed, your student will not be able to receive their schedule. Please take a few minutes to complete these forms in Skyward to avoid any delay at Meet the Teacher night.

Please use the QR code in the attached flyer to see what school supplies your student will need for the 2024-2025 school year. Only 20 more days until the first day of school! We are so excited for another wonderful year at Walker!🏴‍☠️

AlphaBEST Education is available for after-school care at Deitz, Noble-Reed, Opal Smith, Walker, and Wilson Elementary and Intermediate Schools during the 2024-2025 school year. This is open to grades K-6 after the daily school dismissal.

Congratulations to all of our GT students who presented their exhibits at the GT Expo!! From history to space, our students worked super hard to share their expansive knowledge! Keep up the great work, everyone!!

If there were a Teacher Appreciation Badge, these students have definitely earned theirs! Our Girls Scouts went around with the snack cart, bringing all of our staff members a much-needed sweet treat. Thank you to Walker's Troop of rockstars!!

We have extended the due date for the 'Intent to Return' form to this Friday, May 10th. It is very important that this form be completed as students who do not have this form will be unable to be placed on a class roster for the 24-25 school year. Please take a few minutes to complete this form in Skyward Family Access.

Attention 6th grade families: CMS Theatre will be presenting "Bad Auditions by Bad Actors." If you would like to attend, there will be 2 shows located at the CMS gym!
