DRESS CODE FOR THE LAST TWO DAYS OF SCHOOL:

Tuesday, May 21st is a non uniform day at Rhea because of the end of Year celebrations. Students may wear athletic shorts/capris/pants or jeans, with an appropriate school shirt. Athletic shorts should be no shorter than 3 inches above the knee. Leggings or biker shorts should not be worn as pants, but can be worn under shorts, especially if the shorts do not meet the length requirement. Shirts should not have inappropriate wording or graphics, should not have spaghetti straps, or be cropped.

Wednesday, May 22nd, is the last day of school. Students may wear jeans with a shirt of choice to school. Shirts should not have inappropriate wording or graphics, should not have spaghetti straps, or be cropped. Jeans should not have rips, tears, or holes.

Students will be released early at 12:10. Bus routes will run as usual.

For the final day of Teacher Appreciation Week, teachers and staff had some fun with gift card giveaways and piñatas at lunch!
We had so much fun treating our amazing teachers and staff this week!

Today our teachers and staff were treated to Mexican breakfast pastries and fresh fruit to start off their day!

They are available in the office for $2 each, or if you buy an entire box for your business or workplace, you can get it for a discounted price of $45. The box contains 30 cookies and candy bars. Dear Rhea Parents/Guardians/Dads,

Rhea Watch D.O.G.S. Coordinator nominations are now open. The Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students) is a family and community engagement educational initiative that provides positive male role models for the students, demonstrating their presence that education is important. As the Watch D.O.G.S. coordinator you will be the main point of contact between the school and the PTO to help Dad's or a male guardian get involved at the school. Some examples are coordinate lunch room duty, pickup or drop off duty, attend events, assist with teacher/administrator needs. If you are interested, or would like to nominate someone, please complete this form before May 1, 2024. Once the nominations are closed, each individual nominated will be contacted privately to confirm his interest in the position. If the nominee consents and is a qualified candidate in good standing with Rhea, his name shall be placed on the official ballot.

Joining the PTO as a board member is a great way to become involved with your child’s school - it allows for more opportunities to be on campus and provide input on events and activities at the school. Forney ISD will be closed Friday, March 29 through Monday, April 1 for a staff/student holiday. Classes will resume as normal on Tuesday, April 2. Have a safe weekend, !
