Exciting start to the school year! Last night at our first district art show for photography, one of my 4th grade students won 🥇 first place in the 2nd-4th grade division with a beautiful photo she took at her grandma’s farm! Then the cherry on top, I won 🥉third place in the FISD Employee division for my photo “wipeout” that I snapped while at Splash kingdom over the summer.Hoping this is a glimmer of what’s to come with our future district art shows. Pics that won below.

If you do not have the Criswell Car Tag, beginning Tuesday, September 3, we will be doing ID checks. before calling for your student(s). It’s hot out there! Our staff will be working hard hard to keep the students safe and get you through the car line as quickly as possible! Bottles of water will help keep them cool and hydrated. If you would like to donate bottled water, you can drop them off in the front office anytime (even during Meet the Teacher)! Thank you in advance for supporting our staff!

Please make sure that you have completed registration and residency reverification in Skyward so that you can have your child assigned to a class prior to Meet the Teacher!

Calling all returning Forney ISD students! Reverification is now open in Skyward. All returning Forney ISD students are required to register and provide residency verification documents every year.

Parents of returning students must log into their parent Skyward account to complete registration for the 2024-2025 school year. Registration/Residency Verification must be completed NO LATER THAN AUGUST 9, 2024.

We loved the Forney Family Reunion and celebrating being back to school at the 24/25 Convocation! We are so excited to see what this school year brings!

If your household was eligible for free or reduced meals in 2023-2024, your student(s)’ eligibility status will begin in 2024-2025 and last until September 25, 2024.

Families must reapply every school year.

Paper applications must be submitted with original signatures. Faxes/emails or copies of the application cannot be accepted.

We highly encourage applying online on your Skyward Account for faster processing. You are able to use any device to complete.

***Students with no application on file after 30 operating days will return to full-paid eligibility status effective September 25, 2024.***

Skyward update.

We wanted to provide an update on Skyward enrollment and reverification for the 2024-2025 school year.

We hope to open it next week.

Our Student Information team is working quickly to roll students from last year to this school year, as we also prepare to open 3 brand new campuses. It's a process they have to wait to begin until after July 1 of each year.

We will send mass emails, phone calls, texts, post to the website, and social media once it opens. It was brought to our attention that some unofficial social media accounts were posting misinformation on the date it would open, so please check official district channels. Some may have gained access as we tested systems and opened briefly, but please note, the system has not officially opened for the 2024-2025 school year yet.
