CHANGES TO NTC ROTATION: Read about it direct from Ready 6.
To our Ready First Family,
Today, we learned that our scheduled deployment to the National Training Center (NTC) rotation 21-07 in April and May will shift. We will no longer deploy to Fort Irwin, CA for NTC 21-07 but will, instead, deploy to NTC 21-10 in September. This decision was made by Army senior leaders based on the need to balance readiness priorities across our Army.
This decision is both disruptive and comes with opportunities for us. We are very aware that this impacts individual soldier and family decisions. We will do our best to address concerns such as PCS timelines, schools, training schedules, and planned vacations. For some of us, this decision is disappointing, as some of our current team will not have the opportunity to conduct this invaluable training with Ready First.
As our Army realigns to this new schedule, we may anticipate that senior leaders will look to Ready First to fulfill other national priority missions within our capability. In the meantime, we will seek to reinvest heavily into our individual-level training, leader development, and maintenance of our equipment and systems.
Most importantly, we will use this as an opportunity to invest in our people in initiatives regarding Operations People First and Ironclad. We will use this time to create better predictability for our team, emphasizing the criticality of engaged leaders that knows our people and eliminate environments permissive to the corrosive elements of Sexual Harassment and Assault, Extremism, and Su***de.
Ready 7 (CSM Josh Bitle) and I are grateful to serve with each and every one of you. Please communicate any concerns this news may bring to your chain of command. We look forward to deploying with you to NTC 21-10 and, subsequently, to wherever the nation calls.
Ready First! Always Win!
