Gainesville Fire Department/Emergency Management staff recently attended the annual Texas Division of Emergency Management Conference.
The conference provides access to latest technologies, exchange of ideas, and training workshops in all aspects of emergency management.
The City’s Emergency Management staff have extensive experience in emergency management and stay up-to-date with training and collaboration. Part of that training includes FEMA’s Advanced Emergency Management Professional Development Series. In short, we are ready to help and serve.

Our Resiliency and Disaster Recovery (RDR) team, including Luis Lugo, Pete Gaynor, and Martín Altman, had a productive and enjoyable experience connecting with peers at the Texas Emergency Management Conference from May 28-31.
With hurricane season upon us, it's crucial to prepare for potential disasters. Our RDR practice offers tailored services to meet recovery needs, ready to collaborate with communities to design, develop, and implement effective recovery programs. Pete Gaynor, former FEMA Administrator, and current Vice President of RDR at Hill, underscores the importance of preparedness for what could be a record-breaking year for hurricanes in the Atlantic Basin.
