Christian, take a moment, and read these verses side-by-side. See if you pick up on anything.

“Though they know God's righteous decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.” (Romans 1:32)

“And it is my prayer that your love may abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve what is excellent, and so be pure and blameless for the day of Christ.” (Philippians 1:9-10)

What do you see? Do you see that there are things which God approves and things which the world approves? Those are two entirely separate categories, aren’ they—like North and South Pole? They are forever opposites. If God approves of something, you can bet that the world doesn’t it. In some way, the world will diminish it, dilute it, or destroy it altogether.

Likewise, there are things which the world approves that God will never approve of, and the world hates Him for it. And, if you agree with Him, then the world will hate you also. Jesus said this would happen. If you’re going to truly love and walk with God, it is inevitable. (John 15:18-19)

What are you giving approval to in your life and the culture around you today—what God approves or what the world approves? We can’t have it both ways. God’s love will never approve of what He has called “evil”, and we are no longer representing Him if we do.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me.” (John 14:6) Therefore, we cannot embrace God’s truth of God and the world’s lies, meaning we cannot love people with God’s pure and holy love if we embrace the lies they have chosen to walk in.

Love God. Love His truth. Love people.
Do not love or approve of a lie—ever.
You’re not loving God or people when you do. ♥️

Imagine pretending that you know someone you’ve actually never met—who that person is, where he’s from, what he’s about, etc. All you’ve done is just go off what you’ve heard or seen in some loose conversations or experiences here or there. Would it really be honest of you to represent to others that you understand that person or even know the first thing about him?

Most men spend their lives running from a CARICATURE of Christianity—not the real Jesus of the Bible. No one who ever met Jesus said He was boring, weak, tyrannical, or deathly. If that’s your idea of Christianity and Christ, you have never—EVER—met the genuine article.

Stop settling for what you’ve just heard your whole life and mindlessly repeated.

Get serious.
Seek Jesus yourself.
Find out what He’s truly like.
Your life depends on it! ♥️

‘Made a friend today! ‘Goes by the name Chip.
As you can see, Chip doesn’t miss too many meals. He could, but he knows where to go, knows food will be abundant, and isn’t anxious or afraid. He believes there will be a willing hand reaching down to feed and help him.

Did you hear that last sentence? Chip believes there will be a willing hand reaching down to feed and help him. The proof is that he shows up, he approaches, sits up on his hinds, and looks expectantly… and quite cutely as you can see. How much more does our Heavenly Father love it when we show up, approach, sit up and look to Him expectantly?

“Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (Matthew 6:25-26)

I found Chip at the top of a 10,000 foot mountain peak. We’d just sat down to eat at a small little cafe, and who comes scurrying through the door? Chip wandered to and fro for a few minutes, scampering about the room, and scavenging for what scraps he could find. Then, he came to the table and learned—fast!

- There’s good food at the table!
- A kind hand was ready to feed!
- The feeder was excited to do it!
- And the feeder just loved looking at him!

Why do we scurry and scamper about? Why do we settle for scraps when there is a table, and all we have to do is come?

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” (Psalm 23:5-6)

This Feeder invites everyone to His table. This Feeder will even force our enemies to watch WHILE He feeds us! Whoever heard of that? The heartbreaking part of this whole story, however, is that despite all of this…

🍱 A matchless table
✋🏻 A kind Feeder awaiting
🧴 An oil that will heal all our wounds
🍷 An overflowing cup that never runs dry
🏃🏻‍♂️ A goodness and mercy that chases us down
🏡 And leads us straight to an eternal home…

Despite all this, some will continue to scurry and scamper about when far, far better patiently, long-sufferingly waits just a few feet away.

“And He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their dwelling place, that they should seek God, and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him. Yet He is actually not far from each one of us, for ‘In Him we live and move and have our being.’ “ (Acts 17:26-28)

Truly, Lord, you have a set a table before me in the presence of my enemies. How many times have I missed sitting down with You—scurrying, scampering, scavenging for what worldly scraps I could find because I did not trust you? Wisdom comes in all shapes and sizes. Please, Father, Feeder, Friend, help me remember Chip when I begin to doubt, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. 🐿️♥️🍲

The Pathology of Evil

The pathology of the evil always begins by dressing darkness in euphemism. They alter common language, and create terminology to diminish their wickedness to others and perpetuate their self-delusion. Christian soldier, be on guard: pay attention to language. Evil always starts there.

When it does, confront it firmly but lovingly and unapologetically with the Bible’s truth. It’s one of the most Christ-like things we can do for people these days, but it takes courage. This is no time for cowardice. There’s too much at stake!

"Forgive as the Lord forgave you.”

Don’t give way.

Part of the beauty of the Christian faith is spiritual family. Part of the beauty of spiritual family is never having to face a spiritual battle alone. Don’t. If you’re in a battle, connect with your family.

Be wise. Bring healing today. ❤️‍🩹
