Last week, we held our El Tesoro de la Vida grief camp at Camp El Tesoro, and it was truly magical!✨ Our campers experienced a week filled with friendships, love, and healing.💛 We even had our own Olympic opening ceremony to coincide with the start of the Olympics! A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers and staff who made this week unforgettable for everyone!

A big thank you to our amazing first responders for making last Wednesday's First Responder's Night at our El Tesoro de la Vida grief camp AMAZING! 🚓🚒🚔 Our campers had a memorable night exploring firetrucks, police cars, helicopters, and checking out (and trying on!) all your cool equipment. Shoutout to Hood County Sheriff's Office, TCU Police Department, Texas Game Wardens, and Pecan Plantation Fire Department for joining us! 🙏✨

As our summer day camps come to a close this week, we’re feeling bittersweet! 🌞 We had an incredible time with our kiddos, filled with exciting field trips and fun learning experiences. Many great friendships and memories were made! ❤️

🌿✨ Last week, our summer day camps took an exciting trip to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens! The kids had an amazing time exploring the beautiful gardens, completing a fun scavenger hunt, and learning how to make all-natural paint from plants. 🌺🎨 Check out these snapshots of our adventure! 📸

🦆 Spreading smiles at local child care centers with our “Get Your Ducks in a Row” gifts! 🎁 Our Early Education Apprenticeship Program brought hand puppets, books, and board games with duck themes to brighten up their centers and spread the word on the programs we offer that benefit early educators!

🌞 Camp El Tesoro Week 6 Recap! 🌞 We’re nearing the end of our summer camp season, but the fun hasn’t stopped! Friendship bracelets, camp cookouts, and some intense karaoke sessions kept the excitement alive! 🎤🔥

🔬✨ We are crazy about STEAM activities! Our summer day camps got to dive into our Family STEAM Nights, getting hands-on with science, technology, engineering, arts, and math. Learning while having a blast! 🚀🎨

🚍✨ Our Teens in Action summer continues on! Last week, our students had an amazing visit to the The University of Texas at Dallas. They got an exciting glimpse into campus life, heard from current students and toured the engineering school and ultimate design lab!

🚒🔥 Yesterday, our Teens in Action students had an incredible experience visiting Fire Station 9! They learned firsthand what it takes to be a firefighter. Visiting various career sites is essential to our program, helping students explore possible paths for their future. A huge shoutout to the Fort Worth Fire Department for making this possible! 🙌

Having police officers like yours share their experiences is a game-changer for our program. It gives our teens a real glimpse into what a career in law enforcement can be like. empowers students to explore future options! Through field trips and guest speakers, they discover diverse career paths and build valuable skills for their journey ahead.

What do kindergarten teachers say makes a young child really ready to start school? 🤔

It’s not necessarily knowing their ABCs. It’s social-emotional skills like getting along with peers, self-regulation, and being able to follow instructions! 💡
