Exciting news to share! West Fort Worth Center of Hope is proud to announce the addition of Ms. Amanda Baker as our new Executive Director. Ms. Baker (Amanda) has a long history of success in clinical social work and non-profit leadership. Amanda earned her bachelor's and master’s degrees from UT Austin. Her training has allowed her to serve people in need in the United States and many countries abroad. We are blessed and delighted that she has returned from Washington, DC to Texas to lead our organization!
Amanda has quickly begun sharing her talents by creating a new website and addressing areas to enhance client care while broadening our donor base. Her clinical specialty is in crisis work, trauma, and how to partner with individuals and families experiencing devastation. She is creating new pathways for these people who desperately need stability and sustainability in their lives. The Center is growing, and with Amanda’s excellent leadership, we know she will develop and implement high-quality action plans to impact this community.
The board members plan to schedule an official ‘meet and greet’ with Amanda this Fall, but if your schedule allows, please stop by the WFWCOH office and say hello. Amanda and the WFWCOH team are committed to bringing a higher level of trauma-informed care to our clients in order to produce more impactful outcomes to bring hope, healing, and Jesus to the families living in West Fort Worth.
We are excited to see all that God continues to have in store. Thank you for your continued support - we couldn't do it without you!

West Fort Worth Center of Hope
West Fort Worth (WFW) Center of Hope is a branch of the Center of Hope in Parker County. Center of Hope began in April 1998 when the Provision Center was established as a 501(c)(3) helping with food and clothing to individuals in our community. By 2003, they had outgrown their facility, moved to their present location, changed their name to Parker County Center of Hope, and began to add programs and services to address the needs of our growing community. Today, with nearly 20 years of experience, they provide crisis assistance and long-term solutions out of poverty to thousands of families living in Parker County. They help those who are hungry, homeless, uneducated, unemployed, working but still living at the poverty level, single moms, the elderly, the disabled, disadvantaged youth and children, and families in crisis.
Through many years of working with these individuals, we have learned that while addressing the material aspects of poverty is important, true rehabilitation and restoration is only achieved through long-term solutions. Center of Hope has focused their work on an integrated service model that addresses the holistic needs of individuals and leads them to a path of economic independence and improved quality of life. For years they have spent time building a coalition of local churches, organizations and individuals who all play an integral part in providing solutions to meet the needs of struggling individuals in our community.
In 2019, Parker County Center of Hope’s board of directors saw a need in West Fort Worth. Through much prayer and thought, they decided to open a new branch called WFW Center of Hope. Our team strives to develop a similar model of ministry to the residents of West Fort Worth. Our primary goal is helping children within the Las Vegas Trails area who are facing poverty, eviction, and are in desperate need of the gospel. We desire to help families in crisis situations, equipping them with long-term solutions to poverty.
This is our story! We are in continual prayer over what God is doing here, and we are so excited to see how others may be apart of it!
