Introducing our stylist & social media director, Kayla!

Kayla has been with SDX since August 2023 after taking some time to find her salon home! She went to cosmetology school at Hollenstein Career and technology center ✂️ during high school, graduating in 2022 after completing their two year program. Kayla specializes in all things blonde and red 💇🏼‍♀️

Outside of work Kayla enjoys traveling when she can 🗺️ She loves her dog, Kilo, and cat, Beans, and spending time with friends and family! She also loves anything pink and considers herself a huge Swifty🪩🎤 She’s been listening to TTPD nonstop since it came out (iykyk)

Denise was born and raised in El Paso and has been living in Fort Worth for 7 years now. She’s a color magician, specializing in balayage and vivid colors that will make you feel like a work of art. From great colors to great cuts, she’s the queen of transformations👑

When she’s not making her clients look fab, she’s enjoying the chaotic life of a busy mom with her hubby, two fur babies, & two adorable daughters.

She’s a productivity expert by day and a Netflix aficionado by night, balancing her love for video games and podcasts with her need to unwind and escape from reality.

Warning: she’s a great listener, so be prepared to spill all the tea!

Salon Dexterity is looking for an experienced stylist of two+ years to join our team! One of our amazing stylists of 4+ years has recently embarked on a once in a lifetime opportunity, and we are looking for another great stylist to join our team to help aid in the high volume of clientele we are currently serving.

At Salon Dexterity you can expect to expand on your skills, attract new clients, and work for competitive commission rates. Not only will you grow within the salon, you will also be inheriting a wonderful team to work with as well. We consider ourselves a family, and we are eager to add a new member to our team.

Let’s get to know our stylist/makeup artist Sierra!

Sierra hails from Arkansas but moved to Texas after she married her husband in 2021. She is a Christ follower, avid reader, and movie fanatic. She enjoys laughing at any and everything and takes any chance she and her husband can get to travel to visit her family and friends.

She has been doing hair for 2 1/2 years and specializes in lived in balayage looks, taking people back to their natural brunette or darker base, makeup, and special event styles. Her favorite part about doing hair is making genuine connections with her clients through all their stages of life.

Michaela has been a stylist, since 2016 and joined Salon Dexterity in 2021. She is passionate about education and helping you meet your hair goals. She has training and experience with natural curly hair, hand tied extensions, balayage, and special event hair!

When she is not at the salon, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, being outdoors, playing volleyball, running, and exercising. She is a Christ follower, wife, and dog mom!

In each phase of both her life and career, Michaela’s discipline, passion, and natural talent remain consistent. Not only does she strive to provide an excellent experience, but she also desires to bring a confident smile to everyone she serves.

Today is Amanda Theriot’s Birthday! Let’s get to know her!

Amanda is a Jesus follower, wifey, mom, and hair therapist (AKA hairapist💇🏼‍♀️) Inside the salon some of her favorite things are short sassy haircuts, ALL things Kerastase, and installing extensions! Her favorite thing of all is making sure each of her clients feel their absolute best.

Outside of work, you’ll find her nose deep in a book, camping with her veteran husband and 2 teenage kids, eating food her backyard BBQ chef (husband) grilled, and planning her next cruise. 📚🏕️🍗

As one of our senior stylists returns from maternity leave, we want to welcome her back and give her a reintroduction 🙌

She has been in cosmetology for 9 years, and with our salon for 6! She specializes in balayage, is great with thick hair and loves curly and textured hair as well 💇‍♀️ From the beginning of her career as a hairstylist, she has always loved to express her creativity in the world of balayage and lived in color.

Outside of work, she loves to spend time with her two girls, her husband and two dogs 👨‍👩‍👧‍👧🐾She’s a Christ follower, and loves to talk about her faith. Classifying herself as a Harry Potter nerd is one of her favorite things she likes others to know, but she also loves reading thrillers, science fiction and fantasy.
