As we wrap up back to school week, we want to give a shout out to our supporters, both locally and nationally, who make our work possible. This year, we are serving more schools than ever before with case management and mental health services. This expansion is, in part, due to a tremendous investment made nationally by the Ballmer Group, as well as the longstanding support from the Tarrant County philanthropic community. Great news! 🎉 Earlier this month, CIS National Board Member Shaquille O’Neal unveiled plans for the country’s first-ever CIS Alumni Center! The facility is set to benefit Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada and Boys & Girls Club of Southern Nevada.

"This new youth center in northeast Las Vegas will be a beacon of support for our Communities In Schools alumni, offering career development resources, job search assistance, professional learning, mentorship opportunities, and more,” said Debbie Palacios, Executive Director of CIS of Southern Nevada.
