I was asked by the class "how would you execute this on the job? " I told them, this kind of design can be amped up or toned down depending on the time frame you are working within. On a private appointment, you can truly take your time and make every detail perfect, adding in details you may not otherwise HAVE the luxury of time for. During a regular gig, you can take pieces of this design, scale it down, and eliminate pieces of it for time management purposes. But now you have learned 3 design elements in 1 large design. I also spoke with them about converting this type of design into a pregnant belly painting.

I purposely chose a design element I hadn't practiced much before. The Squirrel. I wanted them to see in real life how I break down and choose an image from Google, and paint it on a person. This is an extremely useful and impressive skill on the job. If you can move past the fear of painting things you haven't practiced before, you open up an entire world of possibilities!

I'm so in love with this stork belly painting I did recently for a client of mine🥹 She is a hard working mama with 2 Littles and wanted to commemorate this pregnancy with a beautiful piece of belly art. It was such a lovely experience painting her.

You never know who is going to sit in your chair. What their story is, what their home life looks like.

I honestly do my best to handle each child with care, and when I'm teaching, I remind people that a big part of our job is to ensure that the events we are a part of are remembered with joy and a bit of magic.

This weekend, I painted for a little girls' birthday. On the outside, it was your standard unicorn party, and I came dressed as a rainbow unicorn. But, her aunt who hired me informed me that the girls' mother had passed over the summer. This broke my heart. My own daughters lost their father suddenly 3 years ago, and understanding the pain of having to do normal life things despite going through such terrible loss was something I fully understood. I made extra effort to ensure that my part was as magical and fun as possible.

When you're in the business of happiness and joy, you must handle it with care. Going through many painful moments in my own life has taught me just how precious the gift of joy and frivolity can be. Face painting has saved me personally during some very painful moments in my own life.

Don't take for granted the job that we have been tasked with. We aren't just painting faces. We are here to ensure that these very important dates in our clients' lives will be remembered with the absolute fondest of memories.

Custom kicks I painted for my boo for Christmas🥰🩷🎄 He's a big Kanye fan, so I used the Graduation album art as my inspiration for these. He was super surprised!

All done with paints. They are entirely wearable, not just display shoes. These are the only paints to use for these projects if you want to get actual wear out of them!

🏵💀🏵👰🏻‍♀️ Bridal Catrina for my beautiful model on her wedding day.

To say that I was honored and nervous to paint her face on the biggest day of her life is an understatement. I wanted it to be perfect, to be beautiful, to be elegant but not overpowering. Aaaaand we were in a bit of a time crunch because weddings are so busy and she had very little time to sit in the chair and be painted. I think we achieved a perfect balance. She looked and felt so gorgeous. Her bridal corona was so glorious, her dress, everything. It made me cry. I feel so honored to have done this for my friend.

May your marriage be blessed with God's favor and glory all the days of your lives. Congratulations Cris and Melissa! 💗💀💗
