An ADHD diagnosis can be difficult for many families. These self-paced classes about common ADHD challenges will guide your understanding of and skills to manage your child's ADHD. Purchase one class or a bundle!
Class 1: Justice Sensitivity, Unfairness, and Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria. Participants will explore emotional regulation, unfairness, RSD, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome in the context of ADHD as well as learn parenting strategies.
Class 2: My Child Argues About Everything. Participants will explore various functions of behavior, the difference between manipulation and dysregulation, and learn parenting strategies to manage an argumentative child.
Class 3: Anger and ADHD. Participants will explore the connection between ADHD and emotions, including evaluating moodiness compared to mood disorders. Oppositional Defiant Disorder will briefly be discussed. Participants will also explore the parental role in the escalation cycle and learn parenting strategies.

Starting at The Pediatric Center in 1979, he's been seeing patients here for nearly 46 years! We'll miss his kind and gentle nature, his laid back demeanor and know many families will miss the excellent care he has provided for decades. Happy retirement, Dr. B!!!! 🎉🥳

FCPS Free Summer Food Service Program
Beginning Monday, June 17, FCPS Food and Nutrition Services will be serving free breakfast and lunch to anyone in the community 18 years old or younger. Those over 18 who are enrolled in an educational program for people with disabilities will also be served meals.
Meals will be served Mondays through Thursdays at the following 3 schools:
Lincoln Elementary: Entrance point will be the side doors located at the cafeteria.
Gov. Thomas Johnson High: Entrance point will be located at the front doors of the school.
Waverley Elementary: Entrance point will be located at the front doors of the school.
FCPS will serve breakfast at Lincoln Elementary and Waverley Elementary from 8:30-9 a.m. and lunch from noon-12:30 p.m.
FCPS will serve breakfast at Gov. Thomas Johnson High from 7:30- 8 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m.-noon.
Meals will not be served on June 19 and July 4. Children must be present to get a meal and the meal must be consumed at the site where the meals are served. The last day of summer meals service to the community will be Thursday, August 8.

Detalles del Programa de Servicio de Alimentos gratuitos durante el verano de FCPS
A partir del lunes 17 de junio, los Servicios de Alimentación y Nutrición de FCPS ofrecerán desayuno y almuerzo gratuitos a cualquier persona de la comunidad de 18 años o menos. También se servirán comidas a los mayores de 18 años que estén inscritos en un programa educativo para personas con discapacidades.

We are once again teaming up with the United Way of Frederick County in their Stuff a Bus campaign to help collect school supplies that will benefit FCPS students.
Beginning Monday, June 17th we will be collecting donations at each of our locations. The United Way requests that all supplies are brand new and they have provided lists of the most requested items for Elementary, Middle and High School students. The collection drive runs through July 30th.

Every young person deserves to be seen, heard and loved
It's the season for "sports physicals." There's a lot more that happens during an adolescent health visit than filling out forms. Aside from all the physical changes, adolescents are developing skills that help prepare them for adulthood. Part of this means participating more in their own health care
One-on-One Time With the Pediatrician During an adolescent wellness visit, before the physical exam, the doctor will ask the parent to allow some time alone with the adolescent. Parents and adolescents should understand the reasoning behind this routine. Learn more here.
