A young adult in our community, Nikhil Khanna, has the passion and desire to teach people of all abilities about fencing. Last year LSAN sponsored a fencing camp hosted by the nonprofit he founded, Fencing For a Purpose, that was a huge success and fun was had by all!
It will be held again this year, 7/25-7/27 at
Christ United Methodist Church in Plano.

I took my high school son to see the show this morning, and it was REALLY cool.
A little background information: This show was written by a local young adult studying to be a playwright and is home for the summer! I have to say that she nailed it! Such a positive show on differences and how to address differences.

The show invites audience participation but does not force it. Clearly their audience loves their message as one young man returned today after the show with a picture he made for the cast. It was his birthday, so they sang Happy Birthday to him.

Two more opportunities to see this amazing show. It's in the Black Box Theatre at Sci-Tech Discovery Center. It is not loud or overstimulating, and the audience really enjoyed the show. Go today at 1:30 (tickets available at the venue if there are any left but our audience was small) or tomorrow at 11 AM and 1:30 PM. Great for all ages and all abilities - even adults!

This is anew play that CenterStage Theatre Works commissioned for sensory-challenged kids (inc neurodivergent and autistic) and early learners. The Adventures of Spectrum Sparks is an interactive show where they audience gets to help tell the story.
