Advance Etowah
This is an effort to encourage a more unified vision and effort in the development of Etowah County in Alabama.
No single municipality is in charge... we, the citizens of Etowah County are!
Gadsden City Council.
Mayor Taylor from RBC.
For those wanting to see results this evening, the City of Gadsden did a good job of getting numbers posted in the first election. Remember, polls close at 7pm, so don't expect to see anything until starting around 7:30pm. Here is the link:

Go vote please!
IF YOU WANT CHANGE... VOTE TOMORROW, TUE, SEP 20, 7am-7pm.
Advance Etowah originated from the crisis of the rendering plant and evolved into an idea that all of Gadsden (and all of Etowah County) deserved better. The reality became obvious. The same old leadership that got us here over the past decades could not create a better future. That idea has led us to defeat the rendering plant and now to elections trying to support the voters of Gadsden in this generational election. We have concluded, along with many of you that change is necessary to create the community we want with a better future.
The same old, same old won’t get us different and better. For those of you who support that, we are fighting for and with you. To those that see the problem so clearly and are fighting so hard for something better, it can come tomorrow if you'll go vote. Get your friends to vote. Get your coworkers and employees out to the polls one more time!
We are proud to be a group supported by citizens of all municipalities in Etowah County and humbled to have gotten to know so many from so many communities around here. We're thankful to call you neighbor and many of you, friend!
If we don't cure the disease, don't be surprised by more symptoms... GO VOTE!

EXTRA EXTRA READ ALL ABOUT IT! ADVANCE ETOWAH SUBPOENAED!
That's right, Billy Billingsly is having the GAA big gun $450/hr attorney subpoena us for... wait for it... stuff posted on the internet!!!
What are you guys hiding? What did the members of the GAA say at that hearing they are so afraid of that they will just dump more tax dollars on the fire? The plaintiffs offered to dismiss EVERYTHING if the GAA would just unseal the hearing transcript.
We'll post the subpoena and also the notices to depose the attorneys and the plaintiffs in the case. Guess they want to make sure that none of them were in the room during the Executive Sessions... but Ken Robertson was and he said they broke the law... then was threatened by the attorney and the other board members.
Anybody want to help pull links and email them to the GAA?
PATHETIC!!!!
Don't forget...

Real Talk with Pastor Z. & Bishop T. is hosting a Mayoral debate next Thursday night at Gadsden City High School at 6:00pm.
We must never forget we are only moments away from monumental change. Let today remind us that when things get really bad, our communities are far more similar than we realize.
With the thoughts of 9/11 on our minds, we'd like to thank the service members that have answered the call for our nation. Heavy on our hearts are those that actually went to take the fight to the enemy following the cowardice attacks on NY, the Pentagon and Flight 93. We are also reminded of the law enforcement officers, firefighters, paramedics, dispatchers and others willing to serve our community, dealing with events every day that bring monumental change into our neighbor's lives and sometimes their own.
Given our current election season here in Etowah County, maybe today is a good reminder that our way of life isn't free, including our right to vote... maybe remembering today will give some the urge to remind friends, family and co-workers how amazing it is to live in a place where citizens have control, where citizens take action and where citizens lead!

Our conversatin hasn't changed. This wasn't just a conversatin with the members of the GAA and it wasn't just about Pilgrim's Pride. The truth spoken is still the truth.
The symptom of the rendering plant revealed the problem holding Etowah County back and the behavior in this election is just another symptom of the same problem.
Change has already occurred... don't be manipulated for someone else's gain. It will take bravery, work and sacrifice, but it can be done Sept 20. BUT YOU MUST FIGHT!!!!
